New Years, Food, Fitness, Friends, Winter Break, And A 33 Week Bumpdate

Guyyyysss….we are 7ish weeks away from meeting our little girl and I just can’t believe it!

Just a little bumpdate to start this post…

33 WEEKS:

*The belly is huge and is a perfect Starbucks/Snack holder haha

*Baby kicks like CRAZY…and her kicks are hard lol!

*I have been craving sweets….mostly chocolate and peanut butter

*It is hard to bend over, shave, roll in bed, etc.

*First trimester symptoms are creeping back in: nausea and extreme exhaustion

*I have to get up to pee constantly…my bladder must be a trampoline lol!

*My body feels okay overall

*I’m starting to nest! I can’t wait to hold her!!!

Okay….now onto this week’s recap…

MONDAY-NEW YEAR’S EVE:

I woke up and picked up Starbucks because my best friend was coming to visit! She came over and we drank our coffees while watching Sex and the City and chatting. It was sooooo nice.

She had a surprise for me from her husband, which was so sweet I wanted to cry. He got me a gift certificate for a pedicure at the best spa in town, plus he treated us to lunch at J. Alexanders. He is so kind!

Lunch was fantastic!

After lunch, we did some shopping before she headed home.

That evening, my husband and I picked up ice cream and ate it while watching the Avengers! We made it until about 11 before heading to bed.

TUESDAY: NEW YEAR’S DAY:

The hubs had the day off, so we slept in, then had coffee!

I worked out at home, doing a barre video and a little cardio on my new elliptical! Yes, we had the fireplace on because our house was cold lol!

I did some cleaning and class prep. We also took down our Christmas decorations. Dinner was a vegan frozen pizza and a salad.

WEDNESDAY:

I woke up, taught a few online classes, then did a workout on my elliptical.

After lunch, I did a little cleaning before heading to get a blowout. My husband and I had our maternity pictures that day and had so much fun!! I can’t wait to share them.

Before heading home, I ran to the post office to pick up a package from https://girlwiththepawprinttattoo.wordpress.com She had a giveaway that I won!

It was like opening another Christmas present! I love my goodies!!!!

After our pictures, we had steak for dinner. It was delicious!

THURSDAY:

I woke up, taught online, then did a quick elliptical workout while listening to a podcast.

After a shower, I headed to a prenatal massage (thanks to my hubby)!!! It was so relaxing and I enjoyed every second of it!

I had lunch at a market nearby before heading home.

When I got home I cleaned, then spent the evening relaxing.

The cats were cozy, too! Haha!!

When my husband came home, we had brats and sweet potatoes for dinner.

I fell asleep on the couch.

FRIDAY:

We slept in this morning….well until 7….lol. We have a dr appointment at 10, then I plan on working out and cleaning. My best friend is coming back into town this evening so we can get our pedicures and have dinner together!

My mom is coming to visit and celebrate her birthday this weekend and help me sort more baby clothes!

I have enjoyed winter break so much, but it is back to thd grind on Monday!

Food, Fitness, Pregnancy, And Winter Break

Hello, all! With 2018 coming to an end, I just can’t help but reflect on my pregnancy journey so far. From medicine that made me sick, to shots, to IUI’s, to finally seeing “positive” on 3 pregnancy tests, it has been a whirlwind. And in just 8ish short weeks we will be meeting our baby girl. What a blessing!!

I am pretty uncomfortable at this point, and I am so tired I have been napping every day of break (even when I get plenty of sleep). I’m a bit nervous about working and feeling so rough!

Anyway, this break has been full of resting, cleaning, and getting prepped for baby girl!

WHAT I’VE BEEN EATING…

Mac cheese lol

Pasta with meatless “meatballs”

Bibibop from our Friday date night!! It was delicious! Then we saw Aquaman.

Last night’s dinner was tilapia, sweet potato fries, and veggies. Yum!

FITNESS…

I made it to a spin class this week (I lasted 30 minutes).

For other cardio, I’m sticking to the elliptical, arc trainer, and lateral machine.

For strength, I am continuing prenatal pure barre videos.

I’m feeling pretty good still during my workouts, which is so nice!

RANDOMS:

I’ve done a few face masks, taken baths, and tried to just relax as much as I can right now.

Let’s Have A Catch-Up Coffee Date

Hello there, friends! I haven’t updated you all on my life in a while, so I thought we could have a virtual coffee date. So, I will sip my Starbucks and fill you in.

My belly is officially a table now haha.

UPDATE #1:PREGNANCY

*I will be 31 weeks on Thursday, which is just crazy to me!

*I’m feeling pretty good overall, just tired.

*We had a class this weekend called “Ready, Set, Baby” at the hospital I am delivering at and it was so informative! It put my mind at ease…somewhat.

*We got so much done on the nursery and I am pumped!

*Sweet girl is moving around like crazy!!

*My cravings have been peanut butter and alllllll the cheese LOL

UPDATE #3: CHRISTMAS THINGS

*We had my side family Christmas this past weekend and it was so nice!! I love this shirt haha.

I used the glam glow mask and lip gloss over the weekend and loved both! I can’t wait to try the rest!!

*My blogging friend Hunida from https://hunidasblog.com and I exchanged Christmas gifts this year! I loved the idea, and was giddy when I got hers this past weekend. The hand lotion is amazing!!!

*I had fun exchanging gifts with my family this past weekend! We will go to my husband’s family Christmas Eve and Christmas! I love this holiday.

UPDATE #4: FITNESS

Since I have been feeling better, I am able to get good (safe) workouts in. I am enjoying doing light cardio machines and pure barre videos! I love staying active for my little sweetie.

*This is our last week of work until Christmas break…whoooo!

*My cats have been extra snuggly lately and I hope they adjust well to their human sister.

Let’s Have A Coffee Date

Happy Friday, all! How was your week? Mine was okay, but I’ve been feeling sick. My meals have been really odd, so no “Fit Friday” post today haha!

Instead, let’s have a virtual coffee date so I can give you some updates!

First off, I have to tell you about our big purchase we just made! A 2016 Explorer sport. The car is roomy and has the BEST features! I love it.

Next, I would share that I’ve been resting a lot since we returned from vacation. Just trying to soak up summer before I go back to work!

I would share that we have a water leak and have a huge bill coming to get that fixed. Ughh!! The joys of being a homeowner, right?

I would definitely have to talk to you about my new Hulu obsession (thanks to my work bestie)…the Handmaids Tale. It is SO intense, but I’ve been hooked!

I would share that my cats have been extra clingy since I got home from vacation! I just love them so much!!!

Last thing about me….I have been working my online teaching job a lot this summer and it is so fun! Teaching English to the sweetest Chinese students is a blast and it has been so helpful getting extra money.

Now, I want to know how you guys are doing!? I hope wonderful!

Fit Friday (This Week In Food And Fitness), A Life Update, And Our Upcoming Weekend

Hello, everyone! How is your Friday treating you so far? Mine has been good, as we only have a few kiddos at school today. This is much needed after a long, crazy week.

Let me update you on what’s happening in my life..

1) We only have 8 more days with our students and I am so excited for summer. We have a few trips planned and I am ready to relax!

2) My new online teaching job is wonderful, but wearing me out. The extra early mornings are hard, but so worth it.

3) And so another round of fertility medications and ultrasounds begin. I am hopeful, but definitely struggling. I am SO thankful and blessed to have the most wonderful husband to go through it all with.

On another note, we have a busy weekend ahead! My mom and nephew are coming tonight to see Deadpool and stay the weekend. Tomorrow, my brother and his wife are going to a wedding near us so we get to watch my sweet niece. We will have the whole crew staying Saturday night. I am excited to spend time with my family.

This week has been crazy, but we made some tasty, healthy meals and I did some good workouts. Here’s the recap:

MONDAY:

I waited until after work to go to the gym and take the C9 Challenge. It left me so sore!

Dinner was pasta with cheese stuffed turkey meatballs! I also had an English muffin!!

TUESDAY:

I woke up early to teach before work.

After work, I did a 30 minute treadmill workout before heading home. Dinner was a taco salad with coconut oil fried plantains! It was delicious!

WEDNESDAY:

I woke up early and decided to do a short workout video at home. I didn’t have the energy to go to the gym.

After work, I prepped my classes for the next day.

Once my husband got home, he grilled chicken legs for us. We also had corn on the cob. Yum!

After dinner we watched the Netflix show we have gotten into called Safe! Guys…it’s SO good!!!

THURSDAY:

I woke up and taught two classes before work. After work, I took a spinning class at my gym. It felt so good!

Dinner was stir fry and brown rice!

After dinner, I spent some time cleaning before falling asleep on the couch.

FRIDAY:

I woke up and went to gluteus maxout at my gym.

My work bestie and I got to get Panera for lunch today. It was so tasty!

It has been a lovely Friday!!

I’m ready for the weekend!
