Our Weekend Of Food, Fitness, And Our First Family Outing

Hello, everyone! I hope the weekend treated you well, and got you ready for another week. Ours was eventful, as we finally went out as a family (it only took 7 weeks) haha! Here is the recap:

FRIDAY NIGHT:

We had a tough night with the little one. She screamed most of the evening, and nothing seemed to calm her down. I had to eat dinner while rocking her, which has become the norm around here. My husband grilled for us and dinner was tasty!

Burgers, sweet potatoes, and cheesy broccoli!

SATURDAY:

We had a much happier baby on Saturday and it was so fun! I went to a lifting class at the gym,which kicked my butt, but felt so good! I have missed lifting more than 5 pounds.

After the gym, I fed the little one, then my husband, baby girl, and I went to Scramblers for brunch. Baby did wonderful and slept the whole time! The food was absolutely delicious! It felt awesome getting out as a family.

I had the veggie benny, fruit, and turkey sausage links.

After brunch, and some hanging at home, baby had a bath. That evening, we rented a movie.

SUNDAY:

The day started with Starbucks and church with my work bestie. It was so much fun to catch up with her!! I go back to work in May and even though I will miss the little one terribly, I will enjoy seeing my bestie every day again!

The rest of the day was spent with a sleepy baby and some house work.

My in-laws came over and hung out and made dinner.

Salad, chicken, veggies, and cauliflower mac and cheese.

When they left, I put baby to bed and watched The Walking Dead with my husband.

So there you have it! Our weekend was lovely and now on to another week. Have a great one!

Workout Wednesday-Arms, Back, and Abs

Hello and happy hump day!! I had the day off of work Monday, so instead of taking my early morning workout class, I slept in and did my own. It was a good one! I wanted to share.

*Please note that I am not a personal trainer and only post workouts that work for me and my body.

ARMS, BACK, AND ABS

Start with a warmup (at least 5 minutes). I did a light jog.

Superset 1:CHEST

*12 DB chest press, 12 pushups (feet on bench)

Repeat both excercises for 3 rounds

Superset 2: SHOULDERS

*12 half arnolds, 12 side raises

Repeat both excercises for 3 rounds

SUPERSET 3: BACK

*12 weighted back raises, 12 back rows (with plate)

Repeat both excercises for 3 rounds

SUPERSET 4: BICEPTS

*10 lower half curls+10 upper half curls+10 full curls with a barbell, 12 rope curls

Repeat both excercises for 3 rounds

SUPERSET 5: TRICEPS

*12 tricept lifts, 12 tricept pushdowns

Repeat both excercises for 3 rounds

SUPERSET 6: ABS

*15 weighted bench pikes, 50 bicycle crunches

Repeat both excercises for 3 rounds

Legs And Chest Workout Plus My Summer Goals

Happy Friday, friends! We made it through the week and after today, I have officially made it through another school year!! I am so pumped for this break. We have had a hell of a year and it is time to relax. I am getting a cold, which is upsetting because my friend and I are leaving for Nahsville on Sunday. I am just going to try to rest and drink a ton of fluids!! 

I wanted to share a quick workout with you guys. I did this yesterday morning and it was a good one. Some people don’t like doing chest and legs together, but I do, so I figured I’d share. This has a cardio option in it, but to save time I didn’t do it. 

I focused a lot on my form and slowing down. I can sure feel it today!

Next, I always see people posting goals, so I decided to make a summer goal list! 

  1. Learn more about blogging! I have already learned so much since starting Caffeinatedcarly, and want to take more time investing into my blog and the blogging community. 
  2.  Take better pictures. I love the beautiful pictures I see on so many blogs and I want to work on mine. I eventually want to invest in a nice camera!
  3. Slow down, take a breath, and cherish my family. I want to spend quality time with my family. No phones, or distractions, just making memories. 
  4. Cook more and try a variety of foods! I want to branch out and try dishes that I never would have tried before. 
  5. Find ways to de-stress. More yoga and meditation for my anxiety! I went off of medicine in hopes of trying for a little one soon, so I want to find more natural ways of coping with my stress/anxiety.

I am sure more will pop up, but for now that is it!!😊

Before I go, I will share my awesome morning pictures of a jog around my neighborhood, followed by avocado toast with an egg and hot sauce for breakfast!
