Foodie Friday-This Week In Tasty Meals And Life Lately

Hello and Happy Friday, all! I hope you are continuing to stay safe and healthy. Most everything is open here, but baby and I still aren’t going places. My husband has been doing a majority of the grocery shopping. I have done some luch pickups, and Starbucks drive-thru runs to get out.

K is walking all over the place now! She is a ball of energy, and her personality is so fun. Last weekend, we got outside a bunch and enjoyed the warm weather! Unfortunately, it has rained the whole week, so we have been stuck inside.

We sure have been eating well around here. Let’s take a look at what we’ve been having….

Chinese takeout! I love the healthy options they have. I had chicken with lots of veggies and brown rice. The thai sauce was tasty, too.

This meal was DELICIOUS. We made a bbq chicken cornbread bake, and cauliflower mac and cheese.

Chicken drumsticks and sweet potato fries.

Chickpea pasta with meat sauce, and sausages with a salad.

My mom visited one day and we got lunch from a place called Clean Eatz. It was healthy and tasty! I had a goat cheese, pepper, and pesto sandwich, veggies, and the cookie smoothie! Yum!!

OTHER THINGS I’M DOING LATELY:

WATCHING:

*We finished Little Fires Everywhere and it was SO good.

*We are currently watching Dead To Me season 2, and I am loving it as much as the 1st season!

READING:

*I actually started the Harry Potter series over. It is fun reading it as an adult!

OTHER:

*We finally finished our 1000 piece puzzle! It took forever, but looks so cool.

Foodie Friday-Eats From This Week And A Life Update

Hello, everyone!! I hope you are doing well and staying safe. More places are beginning to open up around here, but I haven’t been rushing anywhere. K and I have been enjoying outside walks on warm days! We have some great trails around our house, which I love!

I also have been enjoying some outside workouts. I really haven’t missed the gym as much as I thought I would.

As far as food goes, we have been eating well!

My husband made venison in the cast iron skillet and it was so tender! It was perfect over a salad.

My sister-in-law and I made more double chocolate avacado muffins! These are delicious and go quickly around here.

My mom came for a social distance walk and lunch one day! We had Northstar Cafe. I had the veggie burger, and broccoli with peanut sauce. It was SO tasty!!

Workout Wednesday, Mother’s Day, And A Baby Update

Hello, all! I hope you are well. Today is looking to be a beautiful day, and I am so happy. I love getting outside with K. Speaking of my big girl…

She walked for the first time yesterday! Be still my heart. She thought my cheering my hilarious. My husband got to watch her on Facetime which was fun.

We also had her 15 month checkup yesterday, and she was not happy. It was in the middle of nap, and she was trying to sleep on me until someone messed with her and made her cry. My husband is amazing in these situations, and I missed having him there. They only allow one parent, which is understandable.

On the plus side, she is doing amazing!!

Now, let’s move to MOTHER’S DAY…

Side by side of last year to this year. I love being her mamma so much!

We had a great day! K and I were up early and snuggled on the couch a while. My husband got me Starbucks and flowers, and had K color me a picture.

I did yoga, and took a jog by myself. It was much needed.

Our moms came by to social distance and eat the delicious food my hubs made!

We had a long walk and fire outside.

We ended the day with tv and relaxing on the couch!

MY FAVORITE WORKOUT THIS WEEK:

YOGA!!

I still have been doing my harder workouts, but needed something else for my body. My best friend does yoga all the time, and we both did the same livestream class last night.

It was an hour long class. I put on my essential oils and turned down the lights. I was able to completely relax, and enjoy stillness and deep stretching. My body is thanking me for it today. I forgot the amazing things yoga does for my body, and I will absolutely be incorporating it more.

Foodie Friday-This Week In Tasty Dinners And More Baking

Hello and happy Friday, all! I hope you are staying safe and well. Things around here are beginning to slowly open. Baby K and I have been getting fresh air on the warm days, and especially love when my mom has social distancing walks with us!

As far as food goes, we have had some delicious things lately.

My husband grilled blueberry brats and jalapeno pineapple brats one night, and they were amazing. I put mine over a salad. We had cheesy rice and corn on the cob, too!

While scrolling Facebook one day, I came across buffalo chicken enchiladas and just HAD to make them! They were SO tasty!!

That same night, my sister-in-law and I made double chocolate avacado muffins. Even my husband loved these, which is rare with my healthy desserts.

We did Chinese takeout one night because all of us were craving it. I love that they offer healthy options!

This yummy bowl was from a place called Chop 5! You can make salads or grain bowls. I chose brown rice with lots of tasty toppings! K loved her kids sized bowl with quinoa, cheese, and egg!

Foodie Friday-This Week In Dinners And Baking

Hello and happy Friday, all! I am looking forward to a weekend with my little family. I hope to get baby K’s pool out, play with bubbles, and take a lot of walks.

K has been SO energetic lately, and is becoming more of a toddler every day. I love her personality! I can’t wait to get her back to gym class with her buddies. Her curly hair is the best. I try to put it in a pony, but she always pulls it out. Haha!

Anyway, let’s talk food. My sister-in-law and I watch a lot of Nailed It, and decided to make cake pops. They aren’t the prettiest, but sure do taste good! I’ve had them with my coffee the past few days.

We had so much fun making these! We didn’t have mini chocolate chips, but will definitely add those next time. The recipe was for a healthier version!

As far as dinners go, we have been eating very well! Here are some favorites..

Cast iron chicken, coleslaw, and cauliflower mac cheese!

My mom came for a social distance walk with me and baby K. We had Northstar Cafe in between our walks, and I had the veggie burger with broccoli and peanut sauce! It was delicious!!!

Roast on an English muffin and sweet potatoes!

I also have done a couple loaded salads, and have been filling up on lots of fresh fruit! Yum!!

Also, another favorite snack lately is plain greek yogurt with a touch of honey, fruit, and sea salt dark chocolate granola.

We are definitely loving our food lately!!
