Weekend Wrap-Up (Food, Fitness, And Father’s Day)

Hello and happy Monday, all! How was your weekend? Ours was nice, as we had some family time, and spoiled my husband for Father’s Day.

Let’s recap…

SATURDAY:

My mom stayed Friday night, so in the morning we had coffee, played with the baby, then went to the gym before doing some shopping.

At the gym, I took an upper body workout class.

We picked up salad bowls from Piada for lunch. Talk about tasty!!

After lunch, my mom headed home, and my husband and I played with the little one.

I cleaned a bit, then we hung around the house. The baby had a bath and an early bedtime, so my husband and I got Chinese and rented a movie.

It was a lovely evening!

SUNDAY-FATHER’S DAY:

I woke up early and picked up donuts and coffee while my husband and baby were still sleeping.

When my husband and little one woke up, we had some family time. My husband enjoyed his breakfast and opened his gift card (for a deep tissue massage).

When the baby took a nap, I cleaned and had lunch, while my husband played some video games.

My husband took off for his massage, so the baby and I played until he got home.

We all went to Kroger for groceries and picked up food to grill for dinner. After putting the baby to bed, we grilled out steaks and turkey burgers. We also had corn and potatoes!

After dinner, we rented a movie before heading to bed.

We had a great weekend!

Now, I will leave you with some of my favorite pictures to honor my husband, my dad (who passed away in 2012), and my father-in-law.

My husband is the best daddy to our little girl. He adores her, and she adores him. I’m so in love with these two!

My dad was so amazing. I miss him every single day. I find that I am so much like him, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that.

My father-in-law has loved and accepted me from day 1. He constantly tells me that I am a good mom and it means so much to me.

I am so blessed!

Fit Friday And A New Journey

Hi, all! Today is my very last day at my job before my journey as a stay at home mamma begins. It is so bittersweet. I will miss the kids and my best friend/teaching partner so much. But I am so beyond blessed to start this new chapter in my life. I can’t wait to spend my moments with my baby girl, watching her grow, and getting extra snuggles each day.

I realized that exactly a year ago today I had my procedure at the fertility clinic, resulting in my pregnancy and beautiful baby girl.What a beautiful journey it has been.

Now, let’s talk food and fitness this week…

FOOD:

Roast and potatoes! I put mine on an English muffin with cheese and greek yogurt ranch dressing. It was delicious!

Pizza (Mine had a whole wheat crust, unlike my hubby’s supreme pizza).

A loaded up salad and roll from Whole Foods.

FITNESS:

Spinning

Gluteus maxout class

I also did barre and the elliptical at home.

I haven’t been working out every day because I am so exhausted from two jobs and my little one! We will see how things change when I’m home!

Food, Fitness, Winter Weather, And Baby Month

Hello there, everyone! It is February, which means it is officially baby month!! What a whirlwind this journey has been. I can’t believe we get to meet our little one SO soon!

Apparently my cat thinks the nursery is just for her hahaha!

We had another dr. appointment today, and I am 1 cm dialated (same as last week), so she still has a little more brewing to do!

CHALLENGES THIS WEEK:

*Cramping

*Pressure….so. much. pressure.

*Nausea

*Trying to stay comfortable

*Thirsty all the time

THIS WEEK IN FOOD:

Our meals have been quite tasty this week!

Turkey burger and a salad kit

Pasta and meat sauce

Yesterday, I had lunch with my mom at Zoup…yum!

Crack chicken in the crockpot! Delicious!!

How cute is my cappuccino from Fox in the Snow Cafe?!

I have had Wednesday through today off of work due to extreme cold and snow. It has been so nice!! Our cars have been a mess from the weather, so I have been stuck inside quite a bit.

Anyone else been hit with this weather? Bring on the warm weather, please!!!

FITNESS THIS WEEK:

*Bump at the barre

*Elliptical

*Exercise bike

I’m thankful I have these options at home, but I sure do miss the gym. Keeping baby safe is #1 though!

Since my husband needed my car today I am stuck inside again…oh well, at least I have Starbucks and my fireplace!

A Long Weekend, A Date Night, Tasty Food, Fitness, Baby Prep, And Maternity Pictures

Hello there, everyone! I have enjoyed an extra long weekend and got a lot done for baby!! Yay!

Let’s jump right in…

FRIDAY NIGHT:

After work, I did a cardio workout at home.

When the hubs got home we made burgers, sweet potato fries, and veggies for dinner. So good!

SATURDAY:

The day started with online teaching, followed by lots of cleaning, and a barre/cardio workout.

We decided to have date night, so we headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was delicious, and I am loving spending time with my sweet husband before our baby comes. Not pictured: all of the rolls! Yum!

After dinner, we watched a movie before bed.

SUNDAY:

The day started with coffee and relaxing! I did an elliptical workout before getting back to my cleaning. I also hit up the grocery store.

Dinner was antipasto squares and they were SO good.

MONDAY:

The day started with protein pancakes and coffee. My mom came over to spend the day with me and we had a great time! She helped me do more baby prep and pack my hospital bag.

We went to the gym together and it felt so good to be there! I have been soley working out at home, so it was a nice change of pace.

We had lunch at Northstar Cafe and it was amazing as always!

We did some shopping after lunch before my mom headed home. What a great day!!

I also got our maternity pictures back today and love them so much! Here are a few favorites…

Weekend Wrap-Up-Tasty Food, A Date Night, Workouts, Pregnancy, And Snow

Hello, all! Monday came again too quickly, but each week that goes by is just another one closer to meeting our baby girl! My cats are loving the bump, and I’m loving the extra snuggles.

Baby has been in my ribs all weekend and it hurts quite a bit. I was able to get some relief with baths and yoga.

As of Friday, we are down to weekly dr. appointments and will be counting down until sweet thing is here!

We have some last minute things to do, but overall we are ready for her! 😊

Anyway….onto our weekend recap…

FRIDAY NIGHT:

Dinner was a chili bake made with vegetarian chili and chicken dogs wrapped in crescent rolls. It was so tasty, but I wished the rolls were a little crisper. Next time I will add the chili after the bake.

SATURDAY:

I woke up, had coffee, then taught my online classes for the day.

After teaching, I did 20 minutes on my bike at home and a 10 minute barre arm workout. The rest of the day was spent cleaning and watching the snow fall ALL day!

By evening time, my husband and I needed out of the house, so we decided to go to dinner. Everything was super empty due to the snow! We had Northstar Cafe and I had pizza and a salad. Yum!!!

After dinner, we came home and relaxed until bed.

SUNDAY:

We slept in and it was so nice! We relaxed and made coffee and pancakes for breakfast.

After relaxing a bit, I prepped some classes, did a grocery run, took a bath, and did yoga. I have to remind myself how much yoga helps during pregnancy!!

Dinner was a frozen lo mein kit I got from Trader Joe’s and it was delicious!

After dinner, we chilled by our fireplace with the cats and watched Netflix until bed.
