Our Easter Weekend

Hello, all! I meant to get this up Monday, but deep cleaning my house and finishing my Shutterfly books have taken over during baby’s nap time.

Easter sure looked different this year, but we managed to make it special and fun.

My in-laws dropped off some things (staying 6 ft apart), including our favorite chocolates in the world. Our friends in Michigan own a candy store called Fabiano’s. I love supporting local, and literally everything is delightful!

That evening, we had a fire in the firepit. My sister-in-law/roommate and I played Friends Trivia while on Facetime with my other SIL. It was a lot of fun.

We came in around 9, showered, and my husband and I caught up on Survivor in bed.

We were able to live stream our church from home. The service was awesome, and although I miss being there physically, I am so thankful to still be able to watch from home.

After church, Kennedy colored a picture of a bunny for the fridge.

She decided against a morning nap, and fell asleep on dad in the afternoon. She only napped about half an hour in her crib that day.

The weather ended up being nice, so we took her out in her truck for a walk. She loved it!

We also did an outside Easter egg hunt for K. It was so much fun!

We made dinner and relaxed that evening.

I hope you all are staying safe and healthy!

Our Weekend (Food, Fitness, And Easter)

Well hey there, everyone! I am currently rocking my little one (who fights naps these days). How was your weekend? We had fun celebrating baby K’s first Easter with my husband’s family.

We were supposed to celebrate on Saturday with my family, but my sweet niece was hospitalized with RSV. We are praying that she is on the mend, but it was rough for a while. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Now….onto the weekend…

I was able to get in a HIIT workout while baby sat in her swing and watched me.

Dinner was buffalo ranch chicken sandwiches and broccoli with cheese.

The day started with coffee and family time before I headed to the gym for a strength class.

My workout felt great.

The rest of the day, my husband organized and I entertained baby.

Once I got her to bed we ordered Chinese and watched a movie.

We both dozed off because parent life is exhausting (but so wonderful).

We had a rough morning. Baby slept poorly and we had to get us all ready to head to my husband’s home town. The baby cried a lot and we had a rough time getting out the door, but the rest of the day went so well.

We met his parents for church, then had lunch at their house.

After lunch, we played with the dogs.

We then made our rounds to all the aunts and uncles houses to meet the baby! We headed home early evening. Baby K was exhausted and slept so well! So did her mamma!

It was a lovely Easter!

Now I’m off to try to get the little one down for a nap. Have a great week!

With love,
