Weekend Wrap Up (Food, Fitness, Christmas Decorating, And a 2nd Thanksgiving)

Hello, friends! Well, now that Thanksgiving is over the countdown to Christmas has begun. I was able to get some of my shopping done (yay for online sales)!!

I feel bigger than ever due to excess amounts of food over break, along with this pregnancy.

Since I was on break, my days are slightly running together, but I’ll do my best to recap…

FRIDAY:

I woke up, had some coffee, and relaxed until I decided to venture to the gym. I did the elliptical, which was pretty much all I could handle for the day with my back pain!

I got some online shopping done and spent time doing housework, while my husband worked in the yard.

Dinner was leftovers of course!

SATURDAY:

The day started with online teaching and some coffee.

My back was hurting too bad to go out, so I did yoga at home.

I got quite a bit done on my to-do list. I organized baby presents, talked to the pediatrician, got in touch with our photographer about maternity pictures, and a few more boring, but necessary things.

The evening was filled with Christmas music and decorating with my husband! We had fun and the cats were hilarious playing with everything.

After we decorated, my husband picked up Chinese for us.

We ate while watching tv. What a nice evening!

SUNDAY:

The day started with coffee and a spin class. It felt good to do cardio, but I took it super easy!

I came home and got ready before heading to my husband’s hometown for his family Thanksgiving! He has a big family and they rent out a big space. We filled up on food, then everyone headed to the gym for basketball. I just watched because I was in pain.

Afterwards, we headed to my husband’s parents to play with the dogs and chat more before heading home.

Dinner was leftover Chinese.

That’s about it for the weekend!

Our Anniversary Trip To See Wicked And Other Weekend Randoms

Hellooo everyone! I am so sad Thanksgiving break is over. It’s back to work now until Christmas break. We have had such a blessed week full of family, food, friends, and fun. Our weekend was no exception. It was awesome  (even due to our minor car setback). 

Here is my weekend recap:

FRIDAY:

I got up and made coffee using our new coffee grinder. It was so fresh and tasty doing it that way!  I hung out a bit until I went to the gym to take TCX (total conditioning extreme). It was really hard, but felt good to sweat the day after eating so poorly.

I came home and devoured some leftovers for lunch with my hubs and brother in laws.

Once the family left, my husband and I cleaned up, ordered Chinese food and relaxed. 

I chose the steamed chicken and veggies, brown rice, and wonton soup. YUM!

SATURDAY:

I woke up, made some coffee, ate a small breakfast, then went to the gym for a spinning class. It felt awesome!

After class and a quick shower, I went to the salon and got my hair chopped off. I love it!!! Once I got home, we watched the big football game (OSU vs. Michigan). 

After the game, we packed up and headed to Cleveland for our night away to see WICKED! It was beyond amazing and our hotel was so close. 

It was so fun to dress up and have a night out with this stud!


After the show and a cold walk back to the hotel, we watched some T.V. before bed.

SUNDAY:

We woke up and ate breakfast at the hotel, while talking about the play the night before. After breakfast, we took a chilly walk to Starbucks! 

After packing up, we headed home. We stopped at Potbelly and picked up lunch. 

Delicious!

After lunch, we put on Christmas music and spent all day decorating! 

It was so much fun decorating in our first home.

The rest of the evening was spent grocery shopping and cleaning before watching the Walking Dead. We both slept hard!

What a wonderful weekend!!

All Things Food, Recovering, and Catching Up

Hello, all! I hope the weekend has treated you well. I am finally on the mend from my back injury and I couldn’t be happier! Getting back into the gym has felt amazing. I have been taking it easy, but being able to work up a sweat pain free is amazing!

I have mostly done light upper body lifting to avoid using my back, but was finally able to do a short jog yesterday. Yay!! 

The rest of weekend has been filled with catching up on all of the house work I was unable to do while injured. Tons of laundry and organizing has gotten done as well as the start of my fall decorating!

The first of my fall stuff! Bring on all things pumpkin!

Our week of eating was pretty tasty!

Here are some of my favorites from the week:

Chinese takeout! Doesn’t it look tasty? It was! Some days ordering out is better than cooking. 

Chicken melt on my George Forman! Recipe on my last post.

Taco bowl! This has lean ground beef, fried plantain, low sodium taco seasoning, homemade guacamole, salasa, plain greek yogurt, jalapenos, and cheese! All in an old el paso whole wheat taco boat!

Lunch date at the Old Mohawk! We split avacado fries. My husband had a chimichanga and I had a turkey Ruben. 

Delicious!!
