Life With Baby Update #2 (Food, Fitness, And What We’ve Been Up To)

Hey there, everyone! I sure miss blogging more often, but being a mommy takes my time and energy. I sure do adore my little one and am trying to soak in every little bit of this time.

My husband went back to work this week which was hard on me because I can’t sneak out at all, but baby k and I manage to fill our days! I don’t feel comfortable taking her anywhere yet, so in between naps she feeds, we read books and sing. During her naps, I try to get things done around the house.

SLEEP:

I will start by saying I am in a constant state of exhaustion. Baby sleeps okay, but getting up throughout the night is hard. My body craves a full night of rest.

My husband has been wonderful the past few nights. Baby hasn’t gone back to sleep after her 5 am feeds, so Brad takes her and plays with her so I can sleep longer.

She naps in her doc a tot during the day.

I should sleep during her naps, but I try to get things done around the house instead.

FOOD:

I have been hungrier due to breastfeeding, and am trying to eat healthy (although this can be tough).

Just a few dinners we have had lately! Venison, shrimp and potatoes, chicken and dumplings (healthified), a huge salad from Whole Foods, and Antipasto squares!

As far as baby goes, she feeds very well, but sometimes too quickly. We’ve had some bouts of vomiting (which is so hard for this mamma to watch)!

FITNESS:

My body has healed so well, and I have been able to incorporate some (easy) fitness back into my routine! I have taken some walks, done some light pure barre videos, and some squats holding baby!

CATS:

They are adjusting to their sister, although I know they miss having me all to themselves.

OVERALL:

Life as a mommy is so amazing and I wouldn’t change a thing! I can’t wait until the weather is warmer and we can go outside.
