Weekend Wrap-Up (Food, Fitness And Friends)

Hi, all! Another weekend flew by, which means another weekend closer to meeting our girl! I will be 37 weeks on Thursday and I’m feeling every bit of it.

This weekend was a nice mixture of relaxing and getting things done around the house. Here is my recap…

FRIDAY NIGHT:

My husband picked up Chipotle for us on his way home from work. We ate and wached Netflix, which was so relaxing.

SATURDAY:

The day started with coffee and online teaching! I did a barre workout before starting on my to-do list. I got a lot done!

Later, my husband went out to grab us carry out from Roosters while I stayed home and took a long shower.

We ate and watched Breaking Bad until we went to bed.

SUNDAY:

My husband and I picked up Starbucks first thing and brought it home to enjoy in front of the fireplace.

I did yoga, went to the grocery store, and folded laundry.

My husband set up some things for baby girl! We are so ready for her!!!

We went out to dinner at a place called Local Cantina with some friends. I enjoyed the chicken fajitas!

We had fun catching up spending time with friends!

When we got home we watched a little TV before bed.

Now time to prepare for the freezing cold weather expected this week!

A Long Weekend, A Date Night, Tasty Food, Fitness, Baby Prep, And Maternity Pictures

Hello there, everyone! I have enjoyed an extra long weekend and got a lot done for baby!! Yay!

Let’s jump right in…

FRIDAY NIGHT:

After work, I did a cardio workout at home.

When the hubs got home we made burgers, sweet potato fries, and veggies for dinner. So good!

SATURDAY:

The day started with online teaching, followed by lots of cleaning, and a barre/cardio workout.

We decided to have date night, so we headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was delicious, and I am loving spending time with my sweet husband before our baby comes. Not pictured: all of the rolls! Yum!

After dinner, we watched a movie before bed.

SUNDAY:

The day started with coffee and relaxing! I did an elliptical workout before getting back to my cleaning. I also hit up the grocery store.

Dinner was antipasto squares and they were SO good.

MONDAY:

The day started with protein pancakes and coffee. My mom came over to spend the day with me and we had a great time! She helped me do more baby prep and pack my hospital bag.

We went to the gym together and it felt so good to be there! I have been soley working out at home, so it was a nice change of pace.

We had lunch at Northstar Cafe and it was amazing as always!

We did some shopping after lunch before my mom headed home. What a great day!!

I also got our maternity pictures back today and love them so much! Here are a few favorites…

They make me smile so big!!

Weekend Wrap-Up-Tasty Food, A Date Night, Workouts, Pregnancy, And Snow

Hello, all! Monday came again too quickly, but each week that goes by is just another one closer to meeting our baby girl! My cats are loving the bump, and I’m loving the extra snuggles.

Baby has been in my ribs all weekend and it hurts quite a bit. I was able to get some relief with baths and yoga.

As of Friday, we are down to weekly dr. appointments and will be counting down until sweet thing is here!

We have some last minute things to do, but overall we are ready for her! 😊

Anyway….onto our weekend recap…

FRIDAY NIGHT:

Dinner was a chili bake made with vegetarian chili and chicken dogs wrapped in crescent rolls. It was so tasty, but I wished the rolls were a little crisper. Next time I will add the chili after the bake.

SATURDAY:

I woke up, had coffee, then taught my online classes for the day.

After teaching, I did 20 minutes on my bike at home and a 10 minute barre arm workout. The rest of the day was spent cleaning and watching the snow fall ALL day!

By evening time, my husband and I needed out of the house, so we decided to go to dinner. Everything was super empty due to the snow! We had Northstar Cafe and I had pizza and a salad. Yum!!!

After dinner, we came home and relaxed until bed.

SUNDAY:

We slept in and it was so nice! We relaxed and made coffee and pancakes for breakfast.

After relaxing a bit, I prepped some classes, did a grocery run, took a bath, and did yoga. I have to remind myself how much yoga helps during pregnancy!!

Dinner was a frozen lo mein kit I got from Trader Joe’s and it was delicious!

After dinner, we chilled by our fireplace with the cats and watched Netflix until bed.

A Weekend Full Of Food, Fitness, Baby Prep, Family, And Spa Fun

Hello, all! How was your weekend?! Mine was so nice! I go back to work tomorrow after a 2 week break. My pregnancy is really starting to hit me since I am nearing the end of it, so I know it is going to be tough going back.

Anyway…let’s recap the weekend shall we?

FRIDAY EVENING:

I met my best friend for Starbucks and an appetizer at a delicious restaurant called Mezzo. I had a super tasty kale salad.

We had pedicures scheduled at the Woodhouse Day Spa next door, and headed there after we ate. The spa was so lovely! We got robes, then sat in the “quiet room” with snacks and tea.

They called us for our pedicures and it was absolutely amazing!!! Afterwards, we went back into the “quiet room” and chatted a while. We left around 6 and both headed home.

I made a fried plantain for a snack because I was hungry again.

I went into my bedroom early, diffused some oils, and watched Love Actually until it was time for bed.

SATURDAY:

I woke up, had some coffee, then taught online.

After teaching, I did a prenatal cardio video, plus the exercise bike while I listed to a podcast.

My mom came over around noon and we went to Whole Foods for lunch. After lunch, we did some shopping for baby items, as well as items I need to take to the hospital.

We also started washing and sorting the TONS of baby clothes I have for little Kennedy!

That evening, my mom, husband, and I went out to dinner for my mom’s birthday (coming up this week). The place was called 101 Beer Kitchen and it was wonderful!

I had the veggie burger and beet chips.

The atmosphere was adorable and we spent a long time chatting and having fun! Happy early birthday, mom!

After dinner, we watched Netflix until bed.

SUNDAY:

I woke up and got Starbucks with my mom before getting ready for church. We went to church with one of my closest friends and it was fun to see her!

After church, my husband made brunch. It was so tasty!

After brunch, my mom and I finished organizing and shopping for more baby items. It exhausted me a bit, but I am so thankful for my mom’s help!! I am finally relaxing about everything!

My mom left around 4:30 and I decided to relax on the couch a while. I will finish the rest of my list a little later!

The hubs and I will make something quick for dinner and hopefully just relax and watch Netflix tonight.

Christmas Celebrations And A Life Catch Up

Hello, all! If you celebrated, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did. I haven’t updated since last week, so it’s time for a little life catch-up from the past weekend through Christmas day.

FRIDAY:

After work, my husband and I headed to his work Christmas party. We went bowling and they catered in City Bbq for dinner! We had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone!

We got home late and crashed.

SATURDAY:

I taught online before we spent the day cleaning. We decided to grab Chipotle for dinner and ate while we watched the movie Peppermint. It was awesome by the way!

SUNDAY:

I went to the gym for a quick cardio workout before my mom and brother came over. My mom and I grabbed lunch and did some shopping!

I love Whole Foods!

After they left, we finished Christmas shopping (last minute, I know)!

We cuddled with the cats and relaxed when we got home.

MONDAY (CHRISTMAS EVE):

We woke up, had some coffee, then opened our stockings to each other!

I was so surprised by the prenatal massage gift certificate! Plus, my FAVORITE almond butter! My husband did great.

I did a barre workout before getting ready to head to my in-laws!

When we got to my husband’s hometown, we ate dinner, went to church, then came back to his parents. Once we were there, the siblings exchanged our secret Santa gifts (my brother in law got me an Alexa)!

After presents, we got in pjs and watched a movie!

TUESDAY (CHRISTMAS DAY):

We woke up, had coffee, ate, then started on presents. My in-laws go ALL OUT and it takes us almost 3 hours to open because we go one at a time.

I got tons of fun things for me and baby! We were spoiled!!! My husband got me an elliptical/bike for when baby comes and I don’t want to leave the house.

We relaxed the rest of the day before having dinner at my husband’s aunt and uncle’s house.

We got home late, unloaded the car, then went straight to bed.

I am officially on break from work, so the next week and a half will be spent preparing for baby, teaching online, and catching up on sleep!
