Our Weekend (Food, Fitness, And Easter)

Well hey there, everyone! I am currently rocking my little one (who fights naps these days). How was your weekend? We had fun celebrating baby K’s first Easter with my husband’s family.

We were supposed to celebrate on Saturday with my family, but my sweet niece was hospitalized with RSV. We are praying that she is on the mend, but it was rough for a while. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Now….onto the weekend…

FRIDAY:

I was able to get in a HIIT workout while baby sat in her swing and watched me.

Dinner was buffalo ranch chicken sandwiches and broccoli with cheese.

SATURDAY:

The day started with coffee and family time before I headed to the gym for a strength class.

My workout felt great.

The rest of the day, my husband organized and I entertained baby.

Once I got her to bed we ordered Chinese and watched a movie.

We both dozed off because parent life is exhausting (but so wonderful).

SUNDAY:

We had a rough morning. Baby slept poorly and we had to get us all ready to head to my husband’s home town. The baby cried a lot and we had a rough time getting out the door, but the rest of the day went so well.

We met his parents for church, then had lunch at their house.

After lunch, we played with the dogs.

We then made our rounds to all the aunts and uncles houses to meet the baby! We headed home early evening. Baby K was exhausted and slept so well! So did her mamma!

It was a lovely Easter!

Now I’m off to try to get the little one down for a nap. Have a great week!

Our Family Filled Weekend And First Long(er) Trip With Baby

Hi, all! How was your weekend!? Ours was non-stop busy. Fun and wonderful, but exhausting! Baby girl and mamma are trying to recoup today.

Anyway….

FRIDAY NIGHT:

My husband’s family came over to spend time with us and baby. His sister has only seen her once before, so she enjoyed holding and loving on her.

Baby girl had a bath and early bed!

SATURDAY:

Guys….my baby turned 2 months old. I love watching her grow. She is taking shorter day time naps, but giving us long stretches at night! It is amazing getting sleep again lol. She is busy and needs entertained all day, so I am wiped out by bedtime! Our days are filled with reading, singing, walking, and playing with her toys.

My husband and father in law spent the whole day working in the yard, so me and this cutie took a long walk and did a baby wearing workout. She didn’t nap well, so mamma was going all day.

The guys grilled for us that evening and it was delicious.

I took baby to bed early, but she was extra fussy!

SUNDAY:

This little family of mine traveled to my hometown for a special day.

First, we met my mom for lunch, then visited my dad’s grave. It was so special to have my baby there with me.

I can’t wait to tell her stories of her grandpa. He would have loved her so much.

Next, we visited my grandma and she got to hold her youngest great grandbaby for the first time.

That amazing lady is 96 years old! Gosh, I love her!

Next up, we visited my best friend and her family. We had pizza and played with the kiddos. We left after dinner and headed home. We were all worn out by the time we got home! The little one fell asleep with no fuss because she was so exhausted. It was a great day!

Our Weekend Of Food, Fitness, And Our First Family Outing

Hello, everyone! I hope the weekend treated you well, and got you ready for another week. Ours was eventful, as we finally went out as a family (it only took 7 weeks) haha! Here is the recap:

FRIDAY NIGHT:

We had a tough night with the little one. She screamed most of the evening, and nothing seemed to calm her down. I had to eat dinner while rocking her, which has become the norm around here. My husband grilled for us and dinner was tasty!

Burgers, sweet potatoes, and cheesy broccoli!

SATURDAY:

We had a much happier baby on Saturday and it was so fun! I went to a lifting class at the gym,which kicked my butt, but felt so good! I have missed lifting more than 5 pounds.

After the gym, I fed the little one, then my husband, baby girl, and I went to Scramblers for brunch. Baby did wonderful and slept the whole time! The food was absolutely delicious! It felt awesome getting out as a family.

I had the veggie benny, fruit, and turkey sausage links.

After brunch, and some hanging at home, baby had a bath. That evening, we rented a movie.

SUNDAY:

The day started with Starbucks and church with my work bestie. It was so much fun to catch up with her!! I go back to work in May and even though I will miss the little one terribly, I will enjoy seeing my bestie every day again!

The rest of the day was spent with a sleepy baby and some house work.

My in-laws came over and hung out and made dinner.

Salad, chicken, veggies, and cauliflower mac and cheese.

When they left, I put baby to bed and watched The Walking Dead with my husband.

So there you have it! Our weekend was lovely and now on to another week. Have a great one!

My 30th Birthday Weekend

Hi and happy Monday, all! This mamma is exhausted, as my little one is going through her first developmental leap (check out the Wonder Weeks if you have no idea what I mean). She has been extra fussy and wants to be held or nursed constantly. She is finally down for a nap so I have a few minutes to write!

Anyway….

I turned 30 on Saturday, which seems crazy. I remember how old that sounded when I was younger haha. Here is the weekend reacap!

FRIDAY NIGHT:

My husband brought home Chinese and I ate while nursing the little one because she always wants to eat when I do LOL. My multitasking skills have become legit since becoming a mom.

SATURDAY (MY BIRTHDAY):

My husband picked up Starbucks for us in the morning and I enjoyed my coffee so much. I did an elliptical workout (once again interrupted by my hungry daughter).

Afterwards, I showered quickly then headed to the salon to get Highlights and a trim. I was able to meet up with my best friend for a few minutes, then met my mom for lunch. We got salad bowls and a parmesan breadstick. Yum!

After lunch, I came home and got ready for date night with my husband! My mom was nice enough to babysit. We took a few family pictures before we left, but Kennedy wasn’t amused lol!

The hubs and I headed to Coopershawk winery and had some wine (YUM) before heading to Sur La Table for a cooking class: “Date Night: Springtime In Paris.” It was a blast!! We were paired with another couple and had so much fun cooking and learning new skills together. After prepping and cooking, we got to enjoy our tasty meal!

We went to bed shortly after getting home.

SUNDAY:

I spent time with my mom and little one before my mom headed home.

Later, my husband and I took the baby for a walk since the weather was mild and we wanted to get her outside!

The rest of the day was more family time.

Needless to say, I had such a wonderful weekend.

Our Weekend (Family, Food, and My New Favorite Workout)

Hello, everyone! I’m laying down with a sleeping baby on me as I write this. She has needed more snuggles to nap today, so this mamma gave in because she is too darn cute.

We had a pretty busy weekend, but it was so nice. Here is the recap.

FRIDAY:

After an elliptical workout, shower, diaper changes and feedings, me and the little one ventured out to see my husband at work. It was fun showing the baby off and my husband was so happy.

Dinner was Chipotle while we caught up on our shows.

SATURDAY:

We had a busy day! I woke up early and tired to get things done around the house, but that has been harder these days.

I squeezed in a workout, which has become my new favorite! I did a baby wearing workout. I have a baby Bjorn carrier, and Kennedy is finally big enough to be in it safely. I found youtube workouts where you wear your baby and they are so challenging, but so fun! My little one snoozes every time!

After my workout, I rushed to get ready. My nephew had a swim meet in my town and my whole family went to watch him. He did amazing.

Afterwards, my mom, siblings, and their families came over for lunch. Kennedy got to spend time with all of her cousins!

This is the first time we have had them all together and it was so special.

Also, my sister in law took the most adorable pictures of my little.

Ahhhh my heart.

After everyone left, I was too tired to clean so I napped instead. Dinner was boring and not worth noting lol.

SUNDAY:

I started the day going to Starbucks and church with my work bestie. It was so fun catching up with her! I have missed her so much during my maternity leave.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning and hanging with my baby and husband. For dinner, we had chicken, potatoes and asparagus. I also finished watching YOU on Netflix. Omg it was intense!

We headed to bed early!
