Christmas Celebrations And A Life Catch Up

Hello, all! If you celebrated, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did. I haven’t updated since last week, so it’s time for a little life catch-up from the past weekend through Christmas day.

FRIDAY:

After work, my husband and I headed to his work Christmas party. We went bowling and they catered in City Bbq for dinner! We had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone!

We got home late and crashed.

SATURDAY:

I taught online before we spent the day cleaning. We decided to grab Chipotle for dinner and ate while we watched the movie Peppermint. It was awesome by the way!

Just a random Saturday photo of us haha!

SUNDAY:

I went to the gym for a quick cardio workout before my mom and brother came over. My mom and I grabbed lunch and did some shopping!

I love Whole Foods!

After they left, we finished Christmas shopping (last minute, I know)!

We cuddled with the cats and relaxed when we got home.

MONDAY (CHRISTMAS EVE):

We woke up, had some coffee, then opened our stockings to each other!

I was so surprised by the prenatal massage gift certificate! Plus, my FAVORITE almond butter! My husband did great.

I did a barre workout before getting ready to head to my in-laws!

When we got to my husband’s hometown, we ate dinner, went to church, then came back to his parents. Once we were there, the siblings exchanged our secret Santa gifts (my brother in law got me an Alexa)!

After presents, we got in pjs and watched a movie!

TUESDAY (CHRISTMAS DAY):

We woke up, had coffee, ate, then started on presents. My in-laws go ALL OUT and it takes us almost 3 hours to open because we go one at a time.

I got tons of fun things for me and baby! We were spoiled!!! My husband got me an elliptical/bike for when baby comes and I don’t want to leave the house.

We relaxed the rest of the day before having dinner at my husband’s aunt and uncle’s house.

We got home late, unloaded the car, then went straight to bed.

I am officially on break from work, so the next week and a half will be spent preparing for baby, teaching online, and catching up on sleep!

Hope you enjoyed the update!

With love,

Carly

Food, Fitness, Christmas, And Zoo Lights

Hey there, everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was just perfect. Here is the recap!

FRIDAY:

After work, my friend and I celebrated Christmas break with mimosas and shopping!

Cheers to two weeks off!

When I got home, my husband and I made stir fry with rice before heading to the movies to see the new Star Wars!

What a fun night!

SATURDAY:

I started the morning with coffee and protein pancakes! Yum!

Once my food settled, I headed to the gym for a sweaty run and stair climber workout.

Once I got home, we spent the day cleaning the house before heading to family Christmas on my side.

Our celebration with my family was wonderful! It was the first time we have all been together for about 6 years. What a blessing!

SUNDAY:

The morning started with my husband and I exchanging our stockings. We always do this on Christmas Eve morning!

After stockings, I headed to the gym for a tabata class. Guys…this is my new favorite! It was so intense and I loved it.

Once I got home, we got ready, then headed to my husband’s home town for the holiday. We met his family at church, then went back to their house for games, food, and catching up.

MONDAY-CHRISTMAS:

I woke up early and had coffee with my father-in-law and brother-in-laws. Once everyone was up we opened presents  (which takes hours)!

After presents, we made a huge brunch of eggs, bacon, sweet potatos, donuts, and toast! Yum!!

The rest of the day was spent playing games: cards, Clue, etc. We had so much fun relaxing and hanging out together.

Puppy kisses on Christmas morning!

TUESDAY:

I slept in and hung out at home until my cycle sculpt class. It is a spinning class with some weights thrown in. It is so fun!

That evening, my husband and I went to zoo lights and it was cold (14 degrees). We bundled up, and had so much fun!

I’m so glad we kept up our tradition!

After the lights, we busted out our new air fryer to make fish and sweet potato fries! It was awesome!

The air fryer cooks food so fast and it was SO tasty!

Now off to spend the day organizing! Have a great day!!

With love,

Carly

A Holiday Filled Weekend

Hello, all! I hope your weekend was awesome. Mine was great. Here is my recap!

FRIDAY:

After work, I came home and sat my butt on the couch until my hubs came home. My chest cold was really working on me, so being lazy sounded great. For dinner, I made an onion chicken burger with cheese and guacamole, nut thins, and a side of couscous. It was super tasty!

After I ate, my husband and I rented a movie  (which I slept through 90 percent).

SATURDAY:

I woke up to the first snow of the season! It was fun to see the snow, while enjoying my fireplace, coffee, and Christmas decorations.

We moved slow that morning; watching a movie and just chilling out with our kitties. It was lovely!

I was feeling better, so I went to a mid day spin class. It was tough, but fun and energizing.

After class, I picked up lunch at Jersey Mike’s subs.

After lunch, we spent some time cleaning before having a drink and making our gingerbread house.

One of my favorite traditions!

We also enjoyed the snow and even took our cat to test it out.

He didn’t know what to think of it!

We made pizza and salad for dinner, then rented a movie before bed.

My pizza was made with Kodiak Cake mix (super healthy and full of protein) and greek yogurt.

SUNDAY:

I took a morning yoga class to loosen me up. It felt amazing! After class, I met my mom for lunch and a full day of Christmas shopping. It was fun spending the day with her! I bought so many presents, and now I  am almost done! Yay!!

Sweet potato and turkey hash from Northstar Cafe! SO GOOD!!!

Now that I am home, we are going to wrap presents and make some dinner!

And it’s on to another week…

Have a great one, everyone!

With love,

Carly
