Hello, everyone! I am very excited about today’s guest post, as health is so important. Please enjoy this post written by Jennifer from and visit her page!

How to Maintain Your Health (And A Healthy Outlook, While You’re At It)

We all recognize the importance of keeping yourself and your family healthy. The real challenge is in getting it done. After all, a full and busy life can leave little room in the schedule for must-have healthful activities like exercise and sleep, while eating healthy takes more effort than simply grabbing a quick yet often unhealthy fix. And of course, let’s not forget the unseen and often unacknowledged threats to your overall well-being, as well.

But the fact of the matter is, leaving your health unchecked can do more harm in the long run with zero amount of good, so it’s a must to really do something about it. The good news is, it’s only the ‘getting started’ part that’s truly challenging. Moreover, as you ease into the habit, you will not only find that it’s doable but maybe even wonder why you didn’t make these lifestyle changes sooner. So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the practices you need to maintain, so you can, in turn, maintain a healthy life.

Maintain tried-and-tested health practices.

Chances are, you probably already have a good idea of what you need to do for a healthier, fitter body. At the most fundamental level, this entails honoring the trifecta of good health—that is to say, clean eating, regular physical activity, and sufficient sleep.

It’s common enough knowledge that the food you consume on a regular basis affects your weight, your immune system, your mood, and pretty much how efficiently your body works as a whole. However, eating healthy does entail a great deal of work—and, in some cases, cost—which is why it can be all-too-easy to turn to junk and processed foods. But the fact is, it can be as easy as mindfully choosing fresh and clean food, which is made easier with services like Costco’s grocery delivery.

Maintain a healthy daily routine.

Moving on, how you spend your days also figures heavily in keeping you healthy. It goes without saying that you need to cultivate healthy habits and keep to a wholesome routine not just to keep yourself in tiptop shape, but for the sake of your mental well-being, as well.

As mentioned, regular exercise is part and parcel of good health, so it will serve you well, indeed, to make it a part of your day-to-day. The good news is, you don’t even need to spend on costly gym memberships or spend time traveling to and from a fitness center. There are, in fact, plenty of ways you can get fit at home, which is great when you’re pressed for time and other resources. This can be as easy as an online yoga class, or maybe even by investing in home workout implements like kettlebells to take your workouts up a notch.

And of course, don’t forget the importance of consistently getting a good night’s rest. Not only does it help fend off weight gain and diseases, but it also keeps your brain function at its peak—not to mention, making you so much happier overall.

Maintain a healthy and positive home.

Finally, know that your home, in itself, contributes to your overall health, too. The fact is, too much negative energy that comes from arguments, criticisms, complaints, and the like can be a real downer for your wellness. This makes it very important, indeed, to clear bad energy and invite positivity by cleaning and decluttering your home, or even simply letting in delicious, fresh air.

Of course, as you keep your home clean, do pay attention to the cleaning products that you use, as well. You may not realize it right away, but most everyday cleaning items are chockfull of harmful chemicals, which can wreak havoc on your health in the sidelines. It’s definitely prudent to be mindful of this and choose products that are made of natural ingredients.

Suffice it to say, getting healthy will entail some key lifestyle tweaks and, yes, likely some discomfort at first. However, if you stay on the course and do your best to keep it up, it won’t be long before you start reaping the health benefits. As they say, health is wealth, so consider these your investments.

Food, Fitness, Family, And Selling Our House

Hello! A lot has happened since I last posted. For starters, our house is in contract! It went quick, and we are so thankful. My mom was kind enough to take our cats while we were doing showings.

Our new place is going up fast, and we cannot wait to make memories there. It has been so much fun watching the progress!

Last weekend, K and I went to visit my brother and his family, as well as my mom. K had an absolute blast with her cousin! They are about a year apart in age. We don’t see them nearly as often as we’d like. The weekend was full of playing, and so many giggles! We fished in the pond, went to the park, made s’mores, had dance parties, and so much more. This mamma heart was full!

This week, K and I went to the zoo, visited my husband at work, and spent more time with grandma! My girl is getting so big!

This salad was from a Mediterranean place by my brother’s house. It was so fresh and delicious!!

Stir fry!

This meal was SO good! It was by my mom’s house and I have been wanting to try it for quite sometime. The place is called Fruttabowl. I had avacado toast with goat cheese and sriracha, plus a tasty smoothie bowl!

*Outside runs with K

*Stroller barre

*Hiit workout videos

*Yoga (I have been using the downward dog app and love it)

*My mom brought my cats home and I had missed them so much! K did, too! She was excited to see them. The house felt so empty without them. Although, not having to clean up hair constantly was nice haha.

That’s about all for today! I am very far behind in reading posts on my reader. I am looking forward to catching up with all of you!

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Let’s Have A Coffee Date

Hello, and happy hump day! It sure feels nice to sit back and write. Life has been a whirlwind lately, and I feel like I am finally getting a chance to take a step back and relax…even just a little.

On that note, I am going to enjoy my nitro cold brew with sweet cream from Starbucks while I fill you in on everything.

We just put our current house up for sale, but spent weeks finishing projects, organizing, and working all hours of the night. My husband truly has been amazing. He never complains and works harder than most people I know. He comes home from a very physically demanding job, loves on our toddler, and gets to work on the house. We have had help from our families, too! We are so blessed.

They started digging on our new home and it is projected to be completed by November. To say I am excited is a huge understatement!

K keeps us so busy! She seriously is a blast and I adore her sweet personality. We try to get outside as much as possible. We walk, play in her water table, and now her splash pad.

She loves to read books, run around the house, play with toys, and get into anything she shouldn’t be in haha.

K keeps me very active! Most days, I take her out jogging or do stroller barre workouts. I like to add in my kettlebells and bands, too!

Some favorites recently:

Chicken sausage and sweet potato skillet over rice! This is a favorite around here. I will post a recipe soon!

Deep dish Chicago style pizza that was sent to us!! Yum!

A delicious power bowl from the enlightened menu at BJ’s. SO GOOD!

Chipotle! I try to keep my bowl as healthy as possible. So tasty!

*We started watched Down To Earth with Zac Efron and it is awesome.

*I am currently reading the second Harry Potter book.

*I have been listening to 3 podcasts, all true crime: My Favorite Murder, Crime Junkie, and Dateline

I think that is about all for this update! Showings on our house start this weekend….wish us luck!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Let’s Eat….And Catch Up

Hello, all! Goodness, it has been a while since I have been consistent on here. SO much has been going on, and I feel like I am being pulled in a lot of directions. We have been consumed with finishing our house projects because it needs to be up for sale asap. With building a new house, this is a requirement. My husband has been working his tail off, and I am beyond thankful for him! This work takes away much of our free time, although I am trying to squeeze in some fun for our girl.

Oh my goodness, we had a blast at the zoo! They have great precautions in order for covid. My mom came, too! K LOVED seeing the animals, and was full of energy and giggles the whole time.

My mom got this for K and she loves it! It has been very hot lately, and she has so much fun while keeping cool.

We have been able to see some buddies, and K has had such a great time seeing her friends!

We had Chicago style deep dish pizzas sent to us and oh my goodness they were DELICIOUS! This one is half canadian bacon and half mushroom.

My mom stayed over one evening and we had a place called Clean Juice. This salad was SO tasty!! It had nuts, avacados, eggs, quinoa, and feta cheese. Yum!!

Double chocolate avacado muffins! Such a yummy, healthy treat. These go fast in our house! My sister-in-law came over and made them with me.

Pineapple boats! These are so fun to make.

My at-home workouts typically include baby K these days! Sometimes I miss the gym and classes, plus the hour to myself. I do love saving money and utilizing what I have at home. K is the cutest workout buddy, too!

We run together, and do a lot of stroller barre.

If I wait until her naptime, I enjoy using my kettlebells and stairs to do some full body exercises.

My heart is in a good place since my miscarriage, and I am looking forward to all of the good things happening right now!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I’m looking forward to catching up with all of you!

With love,
