Fit + Foodie Friday, Sunshine, And Weekend Plans

Hi there, everyone! How did your week treat you? I’m am enjoying summer break so much! I get to do my online teaching in the mornings, then have the days to myself. I am sure I will start getting bored soon haha!

Before I recap my week, I have to tell you how excited I am for our weekend. Tonight, we are going to an amazing bbq place with some friends. We tried to go last Friday, but the storms were too bad. Tomorrow, I am getting a blowout, then my husband and I are heading to Cincinnati to see Luke Bryan in concert with some friends. Sunday, we are going to a place called Top Golf for my nephew’s birthday.

Anyway…let’s recap this week…

MONDAY:

The day started with teaching, followed by a gluteus maxout class at my gym.

After my workout and a shower, my mom came to spend the day with me. We had lunch a the Be Fit Cafe. We split two different wraps and they were so tasty!!

Next, we went shopping and I got a floppy hat for the beach.

We did a run at Whole Foods and picked up everything to make dinner. We had coconut and mango fish, shrimp dumplings, a salad, and cranberry walnut bread. It was delicious!!! I made the fish in my cast iron skillet. My mom, my husband, and I all loved it!

After dinner, we watched the Bachelorette before bed.

TUESDAY:

I stared the day with teaching, followed by an upper body class at my gym. This class is so awesome!

When I got home, I had a leftover Impossible Burger, with bean chips and a pickle.

I rented the new Strangers movie and relaxed until my husband came home.

Dinner was a taco salad with coconut oil fried plantain!

WEDNESDAY:

The day started yet again with teaching! I did a cardio workout after, consisting of the stair climber, the treadmill, and the arc trainer.

The day was spent shopping, cleaning, and a nap with my kitties.

Dinner was terriaki chicken and stir fry over brown rice.

After dinner, we watched Masterchef before bed.

THURSDAY:

The morning started with a keto coffee and a spin class. I came home, taught one class, showered, then met my work bestie at Starbucks. After coffee, we met up with another friend for a pool day!

We had such a good time! It was sunny and had a little breeze.

When I got home, I took a little nap before making a quick dinner.

My husband worked on our bathroom for a while, then we watched the movie Fist Fight.

FRIDAY:

I started the morning teaching two classes. I had some errands to run afterwards, which took about a hour. After my errands, I did a short upper body workout before heading home.

I made some lunch and watched E News. I need to clean and make myself look presentable for dinner tonight, but that can wait a while longer.

Fit Friday-This Week In Healthy Food, Fitness, And A Snow Day

Hello and happy Friday, everyone! How was your week? Any fun weekend plans? I’m not sure what we will get into this weekend. Hopefully a lot of relaxation.

This week has been a good one in terms of food and fitness! Here’s my recap…

MONDAY:

I started the morning with a spin class, but I wasn’t feeling great so it didn’t go well. Definitely a reminder to listen to your body and take a break when you need it.

Dinner was super tasty! I had a turkey cheddar sausage with hot dog sauce, cheese, a wheat bun and a side of sweet potato fries. YUMMM!!

After dinner, I drank some night time cold and sinus tea. It knocked me out by 9!

TUESDAY:

I woke up feeling better thankfully! I went to the gym for a shoulder and chest workout. It felt good and I grabbed a coffee from Starbucks before heading into work. It was a long day!!

That evening, I had a much needed girl’s night with my friend and mom. We went to Northsar Cafe for dinner, then saw the movie Forever My Girl. Dinner was delicious and the movie was adorable!

WEDNESDAY:

SNOW DAY! Getting that phone call made me SO excited. I went back to bed and got some extra sleep. When I got up, I made coffee and relaxed a while. The roads were bad so I didn’t venture out until the afternoon. When I did leave, I went to the gym and had lunch at Whole Foods with my mom.

After lunch, I went home, folded laundry and chilled out until my husband got home.

For dinner, we had Buckey chili over wheat pasta and a salad! It was awesome.

THURSDAY:

I woke up and went to the gym for a back and bicept workout. It was a good one!

I had to work late due to parent teacher conferences, so by the time I got home I was SO hungry! I had a turkey cheddar sausage on a wheat bun and pop chips. After dinner, I had yogurt and nuts because I just couldn’t get full haha!

FRIDAY:

I took one of my favorite workout classes this morning: Gluteus maxout. My legs were feeling it and I am going to be sore!

Before work, I had to get my blood drawn and was relieved when it was over.

After work, I plan on relaxing and making turkey burgers for dinner.

bachelorette party, food, girl time, Nahsville

Nashville Bachelorette Weekend

Hello there, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. I spent mine in Nashville for a bachelorette party. We had so much fun! 

FRIDAY:

My friend and I hit the road as soon as I was off of work, grabbed Jersey Mike’s subs for dinner, and made it to the airbnb house around 10. We spent that evening getting to know all the girls and just hang out. We talked until 2 am then crashed hard.

SATURDAY:

My friend and I were the first to get up, so we made a Starbucks run for some much needed coffee. Once everyone else got up we all got dressed in our “Bride’s Besties” t-shirts. We ate breakfast at a local coffee shop and it was delicious. 

Vegetable frittata and an almond milk cappuccino. Yum!!!

After breakfast, we walked to our first activity of the day: the pedal tavern. It was an absolute BLAST!! The driver/bartender was fun and had a great music playlist. We pedaled throughout the city and were able to stop a few times for pictures. 

I highly recommend this!

After the pedal tavern, we stopped for a quick lunch before heading back to the house. We took naps (yes, we are all old), smacked, and watched Wedding Crashers.

We all woke up and started getting ready around 5. We went to dinner at The Southern and the food was delicious!

My dinner was gumbo, a salad with tons of veggies and goat cheese, and grilled asparagus. We all also split bread and an appetizer. 

After dinner, we walked to The Florida Georgia Line House. The basement is a dance floor with a bar and the second floor is a restaurant with live music. The third floor had some seating and a rooftop, but we didn’t venture up there.

Next, we went to Tootsies, which was so crowded that it was impossible to have any space. It was crazy!

Last, we went to AJ’s (Alan Jackson’s) bar and it was my favorite! It wasn’t crowded, lots of seating, and the live music was fantastic!! Definitely more my cup of tea than getting shoved by strangers.

SUNDAY:

Us early birds (3 of us) woke up and got Starbucks of course! We drank coffee as the others started waking up, and ate an egg bake that one of the girls made. We all chatted before packing and hitting the road!

My friend and I wanted a healthy lunch so we stopped for Panera and it was awesome. 

After driving a while, we stopped at a rest stop in Kentucky and saw the most random thing: a man bottle feeding his baby llama. For real, guys! It was so cute and he let us play with him. 

I mean….

When I finally got home I unpacked, played with my cats, heated up lasagna and almond bread, then sat to watch my shows! My husband got home from work a couple hours later and I was so happy to see him!

It was a great weekend! 

Now I have to get ready, but I can’t wait to catch up on all of your posts!

Fit Friday-This Week Of Food And Fitness 

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope your week treated you well. Mine was long, but I did take the day off of work today, and it has been amazing. I meant to post earlier, but the week got away from me. Here is my recap!

MONDAY:

After work, I took one of my favorite workout classes at my gym called the C9 challenge. I know I have posted about it many times in the past, but it is a full body workout with cardio bursts and weights.

By the time I got home, my husband was already there and cooking dinner which was a big surprise! We love these little stir fry kits because they are cheap and tasty! We added chicken and ate it over rice.

Yum!!

TUESDAY:

I started the day with a 30 min stair climber workout which kicked my butt before heading to work.

For dinner, we had turkey meatloaf and plaintain fried in coconut oil. 

So filling and tasty!


WEDNESDAY:

I started the morning with a back and bicept workout, followed by breakfast at Starbucks before work. 

After work, I caught up on my shows and ate some leftovers. 

THURSDAY:

After work, I drove to my hometown to visit my best friend. We took a class called Pure Empower at a Pure Barre studio that she goes to. The class was awesome and I felt strong and focused the whole time. 

After class, we picked up Chipotle and took it to go. 

My bowl had brown rice, fajita veggies, chicken, tomatoes, corn, and a little bit of cheese.

Once we got back to her place we showered, put on PJs, and ate our food while watching Sex And The City. It was an awesome girl’s night!

FRIDAY:

This morning my best friend and I had coffee and breakfast at Starbucks, followed by a Target run. Once I left her, I met my mom for lunch and shopping before heading home. 

Panera!

Once I got home and unpacked, I went on a 3 mile run, followed by a bath with essential oils and epsom salts. 

Soooo relaxing.


Tonight is the first Friday in a while that we don’t have any plans and I am excited to just relax with my husband!!
