A Weekend Full Of Food, Fitness, Baby Prep, Family, And Spa Fun

Hello, all! How was your weekend?! Mine was so nice! I go back to work tomorrow after a 2 week break. My pregnancy is really starting to hit me since I am nearing the end of it, so I know it is going to be tough going back.

Anyway…let’s recap the weekend shall we?

FRIDAY EVENING:

I met my best friend for Starbucks and an appetizer at a delicious restaurant called Mezzo. I had a super tasty kale salad.

We had pedicures scheduled at the Woodhouse Day Spa next door, and headed there after we ate. The spa was so lovely! We got robes, then sat in the “quiet room” with snacks and tea.

They called us for our pedicures and it was absolutely amazing!!! Afterwards, we went back into the “quiet room” and chatted a while. We left around 6 and both headed home.

I made a fried plantain for a snack because I was hungry again.

I went into my bedroom early, diffused some oils, and watched Love Actually until it was time for bed.

SATURDAY:

I woke up, had some coffee, then taught online.

After teaching, I did a prenatal cardio video, plus the exercise bike while I listed to a podcast.

My mom came over around noon and we went to Whole Foods for lunch. After lunch, we did some shopping for baby items, as well as items I need to take to the hospital.

We also started washing and sorting the TONS of baby clothes I have for little Kennedy!

That evening, my mom, husband, and I went out to dinner for my mom’s birthday (coming up this week). The place was called 101 Beer Kitchen and it was wonderful!

I had the veggie burger and beet chips.

The atmosphere was adorable and we spent a long time chatting and having fun! Happy early birthday, mom!

After dinner, we watched Netflix until bed.

SUNDAY:

I woke up and got Starbucks with my mom before getting ready for church. We went to church with one of my closest friends and it was fun to see her!

After church, my husband made brunch. It was so tasty!

After brunch, my mom and I finished organizing and shopping for more baby items. It exhausted me a bit, but I am so thankful for my mom’s help!! I am finally relaxing about everything!

My mom left around 4:30 and I decided to relax on the couch a while. I will finish the rest of my list a little later!

The hubs and I will make something quick for dinner and hopefully just relax and watch Netflix tonight.

Weekend Wrap-Up (Food, Fitness, House Work, And Girl Time)

Oh Monday….here we are again. I am praying this week goes by quickly!

I am excited to have a dinner date to Cheesecake Factory on Wednesday! It will be our 3 year wedding anniversary! Yay!!

Before I get to our weekend, I want to share some pictures of my wonderful dad. Today would have been his 68th birthday. Gosh, I miss him so much. Cancer is the worst.

This past weekend was full of house work, shopping, good food, and relaxing. Here’s the recap…

SATURDAY:

I woke up, made some coffee, then headed to my “office” to teach 5 online classes. After teaching and some breakfast, I did a barre workout in my basement.

After my workout, I was craving a smoothie. My husband and I ventured out into the cold so I could get one!

It was full of peanut butter and chocolate…YUM!

When we got home, I was ready to do a deep clean of my house. I put on my favorite podcast and got to work. It took hours, but it felt so good to get my cleaning done.

Once I finished, I had a shower, put on pjs, and sent my hubs out to get us Chipotle for dinner.

We watched Making A Murderer until bed.

SUNDAY:

The day started with sleeping in and coffee. It was so nice! After breakfast, I did a prenatal yoga video. My back has been hurting and it felt so good!

That afternoon my mom came over to spend the day with me while my husband worked on house projects.

We had lunch at Whole Foods. I love their salad bar.

After lunch, we spent the day shopping. My mom got me a ton of maternity clothes! Thanks, mom!!! Early evening, my mom headed home and my husband and I made dinner.

Jalapeno turkey burgers, salad, and corn. It was so good!

We watched more Making A Murderer before bed.

Fit Friday And This Week Wrapped Up

Hey, all! I am finally feeling this baby growing like a weed. I have a belly for sure! It’s so cool, but now I’m running out of pants that fit.

I also got a UTI this week which has been MISERABLE. They are so painful! I haven’t had one in so long, but it’s been rough.

Working out has been different now that I’m getting bigger, but I’m trekking along.

MONDAY:

The day started well with an upper body workout class (modified to keep baby safe).

The work day was HOT. We had no AC and it was 90 degrees outside. Pregnancy and the heat do not mix.

Dinner was leftovers from our gender reveal party.

TUESDAY:

I woke up, taught and online class and did some cardio (arc trainer) before work.

After work, I started feeling my UTI come on. I should have gone to urgent care, but we had friends coming over and I had to cook.

Sliders, chicken, salad, and slaw! Yum!!

We had a great time, minus when I had to go get sick for a few minutes. Oh the joys of being pregnant! Lol!

WEDNESDAY:

I did not workout this day because I was tired and not feeling 100 percent.

I was able to spend the afternoon with my best friend who came to help me do my baby registry! We also had an early, delicious dinner at Northstar Cafe!

Best meal ever! Mago, peanut, and chicken salad with peanut lime dressing, rosemary bread, and fresh squeezed OJ.

It was a great time.

After dinner, my pain was getting worse so I went to urgent care. I was diagnosed with a UTI and put on antibiotics.

THURSDAY:

I taught an early class before doing a 30 minute cardio session.

The day was long, even after work. My kitty had a vet visit that went pretty late so we grabbed dinner on the way home.

A veggie pita and poppyseed slaw.

I fell asleep early!

FRIDAY:

I plan on doing a workout after work today and am picking up salmon and asparagus for dinner.

This Week In Review-Food, Fitness And Friends

Hello! I typically post on Friday, but I’ve had a busy week! First of all, I have to share another ultrasound picture because our baby is growing and moving like crazy.

I’m so beyond in love, I just can’t take it!

Okay…onto this past week!

MONDAY:

The day started with Starbucks and a 4 hour crisis prevention class for work. After the class, my work bestie and I went into our classroom to start getting it organized because school starts on Monday!

I was able to get a short cardio workout in later in the day.

Dinner was a PF Changs beef and broccoli kit over rice. Yummy!

TUESDAY:

I woke up early for a spinning class at the gym, followed by some online teaching.

After that, I drove to my home town to spend the day with my best friend. We went to Starbucks, then got pizza at my favorite local pizza place called Spinozas. I got a whole wheat crust with spicy sauce, spinach and peppers.

When I got home, I took a nap because getting up early and a long drive two ways wore me out.

My husband came home with flowers for me! He’s so sweet!

We had chicken legs for dinner and watched Bachelor in Paradise!

WEDNESDAY:

I woke up, taught, cleaned, the hit the gym for a short strength training session! Thank you, Youtube!

My best friend came into town to get her hair done, so we had lunch at Northstar Cafe and did some shopping. Yay for seeing her two days in a row!

Best salad ever!

I did laundry when I got home and caught up on some some shows.

I don’t think dinner was very exciting haha!

THURSDAY:

I started the day online teaching as usual!

I did a cardio workout, but the rest of the day was uneventful!

Dinner was stir fry over rice.

FRIDAY:

The day started with teaching, then I had an ultrasound which was so amazing!

Afterwards, I went into work to help my work bestie in the classroom. We are excited and slightly anxious for the year to start!

I did a VERY short jog early evening, but it was so muggy that I decided resting was better for my body.

My husband worked super late so I hung with the cats!

Anyway, my husband’s family is spending the weekend with us!

Fit Friday-Food, Fitness, Friend Dates, And Zumba

Hello and happy Friday, all!! How has your week been?! Mine has been lovely, and I have another fun day planned. My niece and mom are spending the day and night with me. Yay!!

I am definitely enjoying the rest of summer before the school year starts!

Here is this week’s recap!

MONDAY:

My day was spent cleaning and getting things done around the house.

I waited until evening to take an express upper body class at my gym. 30 minutes, but I always get so much out of it!

Dinner was pizza! I made my crust with Kodiak Cake mix. It is a healthy, versatile pancake mix. It makes an awesome crust! Topped with mozzarella, chunky sauce, and turkey pepperoni.

After dinner, we watched the Bachelorette before bed.

TUESDAY:

I woke up and taught some online classes. I LOVE this little side gig!!

I was exhausted this day, so my workout was just a short video in my basement. Just enough to get me moving.

Dinner was minestrone soup and cornbread!

I fell asleep early, knowing Wednesday was a busy day for me.

WEDNESDAY:

I started the day teaching, as usual. After teaching, I met a girlfriend for breakfast at our favorite spot: Northstar Cafe. The food is always fresh and incredible. Plus, our meals were free because the last time we went it took too long to get our food (even though it wasn’t long at all). Anyway, we talked for a couple hours and enjoyed our dishes.

I had the sweet potato and turkey hash topped with eggs. YUM!!

After we ate, I had a dr. appointment. It was fine, except they had to take what felt like so much blood! Ugh, no thank you! Haha.

I relaxed a bit, before having a snack, then picking up my work bestie for my first ever Zumba class. Guys, that class is not easy! It was so much fun, though.

Post workout!

It was pretty late when I was heading home, so I picked up a veggie sub and sun chips at Jersey Mike’s subs.

My husband and I ate while watching Master Chef!

THURSDAY:

The day started with a spin class at my gym! It felt great, but left me a bit worn out.

I didn’t do much the rest of the day, but dinner was delicious.

I made antipasto squares. I make mine with Annie’s organic crescent rolls, then stuff the inside with whatever sounds good. My side had mozzarella, turkey pepperoni, and tamed jalapenos. I added ham to my husband’s side. Before baking, I top it with olive oil and parmesan.

I had a salad with mine.

We rented the movie Rampage and watched it while we ate!

We went to bed early.

FRIDAY:

I was supposed to teach this morning, but it was canceled so I’m writing this instead! I need to clean and hopefully workout before my mom and niece get here.
