Our Date Night, Family Time, Food, And Fitness

Hey guys!! My posts are pretty sporadic these days, as I am still navigating motherhood. I will say that we have gotten into a routine, and I am more confident in being a mommy. Our little one went to the dr yesterday and is now 8 pounds, 9 ounces. She is a little chunk and so stinking precious!

We got our newborn pictures back yesterday and I’m obsessed with them, but can’t believe our girl is so much bigger already!

That is her on my wedding dress.

And her now….

I’m so blessed.

Now, onto the weekend….

FRIDAY:

My in-laws came over around 7pm and my husband and I headed out for a date. We went to dinner at Northstar Cafe and it was delicious as always.

After dinner, we had to go to the car so I could pump (yay mom life Haha) and also took a nap before our movie. LOL! We saw Captain Marvel at 10 (SUPER late for this mamma)! We enjoyed our night so much, but the little one didn’t sleep well that night.

SATURDAY:

The little one woke up early, so my mother-in-law held her while I went to Starbucks and did the elliptical for 30 minutes! I’m so glad that I am healed and can work harder on the cardio machines.

My husband spent the day working on his dad’s truck, and his dad and brother worked on our railing. I played with my girl all day!

My brother in law cooked us a tasty dinner and we ate then watched Bohemian Rhapsody. It was such a good movie by the way!!

SUNDAY:

We had a busy day full of visitors on Sunday! My college roommate (who also happens to be my husband’s cousin) came over with her girls and it was fun for them to meet Kennedy!.

Freshman year of college and now with our kids. Oh how life has changed!

We also had my husband’s aunt and some friends over. The house got crazy!!

I spent Kennedy’s Monday nap time cleaning from the weekend.

That’s all for today! Have a great week!

With love,

Carly

Hello there, everyone! I have enjoyed an extra long weekend and got a lot done for baby!! Yay!

FRIDAY NIGHT:

After work, I did a cardio workout at home.

When the hubs got home we made burgers, sweet potato fries, and veggies for dinner. So good!

SATURDAY:

The day started with online teaching, followed by lots of cleaning, and a barre/cardio workout.

We decided to have date night, so we headed to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. It was delicious, and I am loving spending time with my sweet husband before our baby comes. Not pictured: all of the rolls! Yum!

After dinner, we watched a movie before bed.

SUNDAY:

The day started with coffee and relaxing! I did an elliptical workout before getting back to my cleaning. I also hit up the grocery store.

Dinner was antipasto squares and they were SO good.

MONDAY:

The day started with protein pancakes and coffee. My mom came over to spend the day with me and we had a great time! She helped me do more baby prep and pack my hospital bag.

We went to the gym together and it felt so good to be there! I have been soley working out at home, so it was a nice change of pace.

We had lunch at Northstar Cafe and it was amazing as always!

We did some shopping after lunch before my mom headed home. What a great day!!

I also got our maternity pictures back today and love them so much! Here are a few favorites…

They make me smile so big!!

Weekend Wrap-Up-Tasty Food, A Date Night, Workouts, Pregnancy, And Snow

Hello, all! Monday came again too quickly, but each week that goes by is just another one closer to meeting our baby girl! My cats are loving the bump, and I’m loving the extra snuggles.

Baby has been in my ribs all weekend and it hurts quite a bit. I was able to get some relief with baths and yoga.

As of Friday, we are down to weekly dr. appointments and will be counting down until sweet thing is here!

We have some last minute things to do, but overall we are ready for her! 😊

Anyway….onto our weekend recap…

FRIDAY NIGHT:

Dinner was a chili bake made with vegetarian chili and chicken dogs wrapped in crescent rolls. It was so tasty, but I wished the rolls were a little crisper. Next time I will add the chili after the bake.

SATURDAY:

I woke up, had coffee, then taught my online classes for the day.

After teaching, I did 20 minutes on my bike at home and a 10 minute barre arm workout. The rest of the day was spent cleaning and watching the snow fall ALL day!

By evening time, my husband and I needed out of the house, so we decided to go to dinner. Everything was super empty due to the snow! We had Northstar Cafe and I had pizza and a salad. Yum!!!

After dinner, we came home and relaxed until bed.

SUNDAY:

We slept in and it was so nice! We relaxed and made coffee and pancakes for breakfast.

After relaxing a bit, I prepped some classes, did a grocery run, took a bath, and did yoga. I have to remind myself how much yoga helps during pregnancy!!

Dinner was a frozen lo mein kit I got from Trader Joe’s and it was delicious!

After dinner, we chilled by our fireplace with the cats and watched Netflix until bed.

Have a great week, everyone!

With love,

Carly

Good Eats, Workouts, A Date Night, And Scary Shows

Hi, all! I hope your Monday is treating you well so far. I overslept and was super rushed this morning, but managed to get ready and grab Starbucks on my way to work.

Anyway, this weekend was relaxing, which was necessary because I’m getting a cold.

I binged watched (and finished) the Netflix show The Haunting Of Hill House. I loved it! It was so spooky, and I got invested quickly. Have any of you seen it? Thoughts?

Now, onto the recap:

FRIDAY NIGHT:

After work, I came home and watched Netflix for a while. My husband worked later than usual so I ate before he got home.

Meatloaf, a sweet potato, and a salad.

SATURDAY:

I woke up, had some coffee, and got to my online teaching. My husband had a work event and I stayed home. I did a bump at the barre workout, did some housework, then watched Netflix by my fireplace.

By the time my husband got home, I needed out. We walked around our outdoor mall, then had a sweetest day dinner at Northstar Cafe.

When we got home, we got comfy and watched football until bed.

SUNDAY:

I slept in, which felt amazing! My body needed the rest. I’m pretty tired these days!

I had coffee and finished my Netflix series while separating baby clothes.

I went for a 3 mile jog and it seriously felt so good! Post jog snapchat lol!

I finished my cleaning (which took a long time because I had to mop and deep clean), then hit the grocery store!

For dinner, we made a sweet potato and turkey hash with mushrooms and onions. It was delicious!

We rented Ant Man and the Wasp to watch while we ate.

It was a lovely weekend! Now let’s hope I can knock this cold out quickly!

Have a great week, everyone!

Carly

Weekend Wrap Up- Date Night Times 2

Hey there, everyone!! How was your weekend?! Ours was so fun (minus the terrible headaches I’ve been getting).

We decided to have 2 date nights this weekend! Friday night was my husband’s choice and Saturday night was my choice.

FRIDAY NIGHT DATE-BRAD’S CHOICE

When my husband got home from work, we got ready and headed out. We had bibibop for dinner, then saw Avengers Infinity War in the fancy theater with reclining chairs.

Dinner was tasty and the movie was awesome!

After our movie, we came home and I read until I fell asleep.

SATURDAY NIGHT-MY CHOICE

Our date started with seeing A Quiet Place in the fancy theater with reclining chairs. We loved the movie!!

After our movie, we headed to our downtown area to try out a place we had never been to before. It’s called Dirty Frank’s hot dogs and oh my gosh they were SO good!!

The pricing was cheap and the atmosphere was fun.

I had a veggie dog topped with coney sauce, sauerkraut, and grilled onions with a side of broccoli. We also split the fried cauliflower. YUM!!!

After dinner, we came home and watched some Netflix before bed.

SUNDAY:

I went to church, did some grocery shopping and made a stop at Lowe’s. My husband and I grilled out for dinner and it was delicious!

Salmon, asparagus, and corn!

Now it is time to relax before another work week begins!

Have a great one, all!

With love,

Carly
