Food, Fitness, Baby’s First Halloween, And Our Anniversary

Hello, all! Another week simply flew by, and I cannot believe it is already November! Baby and I managed to stay busy this week, and I got to put her Halloween costume on more than once. She is one adorable dragon, that’s for sure.

Speaking of my cute dragon, she was in a parade on Tuesday, and got to wear her costume again on Thursday at Bugs class. It was so sweet seeing all the babies dressed up!

We did not take her trick or treating, one: because she doesn’t eat candy, and two: she was already asleep. Haha! Also, it was SO windy and cold here.

This kid is a riot, let me tell you!

She has been a little clingy and a bit fussy this week, but was still full of hugs and huge smiles! I am hoping a tooth is coming in.

OUR ANNIVERSARY:

My husband and I celebrated 4 years of marriage yesterday! We went out to dinner and a movie last week, but had fun celebrating at home last night. My husband came home with Chinese, flowers, and a few other fun things. We had some wine with dinner, relaxed on the couch, and caught up on our shows.

FOOD THIS WEEK:

I took advantage of the leftover Chipotle from baby K’s dedication for this meal. I honestly can’t remember everything in it, but it was tasty!

Cornbread and Chili! It was so perfect, especially since the weather is getting colder.

Pizza night!

I had Whole Foods salad bar for lunch today, and we got to spend time with my mamma! It was so fun!!

This Week In Food, Fitness, New Hair, And My Blogging Anniversary

Hi and happy Friday, all! This week has been extra busy and I’m looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.

Here’s the recap:

MONDAY:

I waited until after work to workout and take a class called the C9 challenge. It mixes weights and bursts of cardio for an awesome workout. I felt strong and motivated, which doesn’t always happen after a long work day.

Dinner was whole wheat pasta with chicken sausage and toast.

TUESDAY:

My 1 year blogging anniversary! I didn’t do a special post because I’ve been busy, but I love this community so much!

Anyway…

I woke up early and went to the gym for a treadmill workout.

After work, I rushed to the dentist for a cleaning. Afterwards, my husband and I took our littlest cat to the vet for shots and a check up. We got home pretty late, so we made a quick dinner of grilled cheese, tomato soup, and fruit.

WEDNESDAY:

I started the day with my new favorite workout class: Tabata. It is only a half hour, but it is super intense!

After work, my mom came over and we got dinner at Whole Foods. I had a salad, salmon, cheesy cauliflower, and a roll. It was delicious!

We ate and caught up on This Is Us.

THURSDAY:

I woke up with the intention of going to the gym, but could not get motivated. I did a super short workout in my basement instead. Breakfast was super tasty. I had yogurt with chocolate peanut butter protein powder, nuts, and a healthy peanut butter cup. I also had a lara bar.

After work, I had an appointment for a haircut and color. I loved the salon and left so happy!

When I got home, I wanted something quick to eat so I had a chicken sausage, a hard boiled egg, and a ton of fruit.

After I ate, my husband and I watched a little T.V. before bed.

FRIDAY:

This morning, I went to the gym for a gluteus maxout class. It is fun and challenging!

That’s all for today! My lunch break is almost over. I’m hoping the rest of the day flies by!

Fit Friday-This Week Of Fitness, Tasty Meals, And Staying Healthy

Happy, happy Friday, folks! I hope the week treated you well. Do you have any fun plans this weekend? We are driving through the night to Maryland  (about an 8 hour drive) for World Cup Finals. My husband’s boss is racing his car, which is awesome. It should be fun!

I have been a touch under the weather this week, but have knocked it out fast, so before I share my week of food and fitness, I want to tell you how I’m staying healthy.

  • ECHINACEA- this has been a lifesaver. I bought a bottle of the whole herb pills and have been taking them religiously. They help with immune health, and I will continue to take them.
  • TEA AND HONEY-  I have been drinking tea with honey everyday since I started feeling off. 
  • ESSENTIAL OILS- I add them to baths, put them on my body, and diffuse them nightly. 
  • DETOX BATHS- Mine typically include epsom salts, baking soda, and essential oils. 

SUNDAY:

Sunday is my day off from working out so we spent the day resting, cleaning, and grocery shopping. That evening, we carved our pumpkin and roasted the seeds. 

For dinner, we had chicken tortilla soup and honey jalepeno cornbread. It was delicious!!

MONDAY:

After work, I took my Monday night workout class, the C9 challenge. It felt awesome. 

For dinner, I made a pizza using Kodiak Cakes and plain greek yogurt for the crust. I topped it with pizza sauce, turkey pepperoni, cheese, and cilantro. I had a salad with it. 

Healthy, filling, and oh so tasty!!

TUESDAY:

Our wedding anniversary was this day! My amazing husband surprised me with tickets to see WICKED on Broadway!! The show is later this month. We will do our big dinner out that evening and stay in a hotel. I’m PUMPED!

My workout that day was 30 minutes of cardio. 

WEDNESDAY:

I started the morning with a short lifting session. I didn’t feel great. I was tired and unmotivated, but at least I did it.

My mom came over that night for our weekly girl’s night and we got whole foods for dinner. 

I LOVE their salad bar! 

Salad with tons of veggies and chicken, sweet potato and quinoa chili, and a grain roll. 

THURSDAY:

After work, I went to the gym for a hiit workout on the treadmill. It felt awesome and I was super sweaty by the end. 

Dinner was a buffalo ranch salad with chicken and an english muffin.

FRIDAY:

This morning, I tried out a new workout class called gluteus maxout. It is all focused on legs with some cardio mixed in. 

I loved it!!

To My Husband On Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary 

I’m warning you all now, this post is going to be pretty mushy. 

Sweetheart, 

Two years ago, in front of our friends and families, we got married on a beautiful fall day. 

I will never forget the look on your face or the tears in your eyes.

The day was perfect. Full of laughter, happy tears, a whole lot of dancing, and a room full of love. 

My life continues to get better with you by my side. Thank you for constantly treating me like I deserve the world. I love being your travel partner, your dinner date, your T.V. watching partner, and your best friend. You are the epitome of the perfect man. You are my fairytale come true and I thank God daily for you. 

So, here is to us and a lifetime of memories to come. I love you today and forever.
