Weekend Wrap-Up (Food, Fitness, Fireplaces, And Family Time)

Hello, all! Another Monday came too soon…

I hope you had a nice weekend! I tried to catch up on sleep, which a did a little. We weren’t too busy, so that was nice. I can’t believe how chilly the weather is. It feels like we skipped fall (my absolute favorite) and headed straight for winter. Boooo. I am super happy that my mums bloomed so nicely though!

Here’s the recap:

SATURDAY:

The morning started early with coffee and teaching. I had 6 classes, which is more than I typically do! I love the extra money, but the sleep would have been nice, too.

After teaching and breakfast, I did a barre workout in my basement. I love prenatal barre because it gives me a great workout while staying low impact!

After my workout, my husband grabbed us lunch from Chick-Fil-A, then we watched football by the fireplace. I officially am using my fireplace constantly! Haha!!

I had a wrap with a superfood side salad.

After the game and relaxing, we both started working on house stuff. My husband cut the grass and worked in the garage while I cleaned.

By evening, I had a shower and made a quick dinner before watching a movie with my hubs.

SUNDAY:

I slept in a bit which felt great! I made coffee and did a short prenatal yoga video.

My husband and I got ready, then met my mom and her friend for brunch at Northstar cafe! My husband and I spit a blueberry muffin before our meals came out.

I had the sweet potato and turkey hash. It was delicious!

After we ate, we did some shopping and I got an outfit for sweet baby.

When we got home, I took a short nap before finishing my cleaning and going to the grocery store.

For dinner, we made pizzas and they were delicious!

Bedtime came early!

Fit Friday And Week 21 Of My Pregnancy

Hello and happy Friday, friends! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I’m teaching tomorrow morning, but hoping to get some cleaning and relaxing done the rest of the weekend.

Yesterday marked 21 weeks in my pregnancy and the most exciting thing happened…

Baby girl started kicking like crazy!!

My husband and I had fun feeling her move around.

CHALLENGES THIS WEEK:

*Acne-all around my chin

*Frequent urination (literally I always have go LOL)

*Stomach issues-I won’t go into detail lol!

*Struggling to stay comfortable in bed….

although my mom got me a pregnancy pillow which helped SO much

CRAVINGS:

*Cheese

*Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (my lunch most days)

WEIGHT GAIN:

11-12ish pounds

JOYS:

*Feeling my sweet girl kick

*Feeling well overall

*Getting ready start the the nursery

*Knowing that we are another week closer to meeting our peanut 🤗

Next up, let’s talk food and fitness this week…

FITNESS:

MONDAY: An upper body workout class

TUESDAY: Cardio for 30 minutes

WEDNESDAY: A short barre workout

THURSDAY: A pregnancy cardio workout video

FRIDAY: 20 minutes on the treadmill and 10 on the arc trainer

MEALS THIS WEEK:

Grilled cheese, autumn squash soup, and a salad

Chicken tacos, plantain, and a salad

Pork and apples

Spinozas pizza (my best friend and I went to dinner to celebrate her 30th birthday)

Tonight I plan on having my leftover pizza! I can’t wait!

Our Weekend (Family, Babies, Football, Food, And Fitness)

Hello, everyone! I hope Monday hasn’t treated you too bad. Mine was good, even though I was still a bit tired from our family filled weekend.

Let’s recap!

SATURDAY:

The day started with coffee and some online teaching.

After teaching, I finished up my cleaning and booked my husband’s 30th birthday trip to Chicago! Yay!!

I had a little time to hit the gym for some cardio before my family came over.

My mom, brother and his wife were all going to the Ohio State game, so my husband and I babysat our sweet niece.

She had fun chasing our cats, but they did not enjoy the chaos.

We took her to the park and it was so much fun. By the time we got her to bed we were exhausted. I made an apple cake to snack on and my husband made chili for dinner.

Once everyone got back from the game, we ate and talked/watched football until 11ish. I slept so hard that night!

SUNDAY:

I was the first one up, and my mom was up shortly after. We grabbed Starbucks for everyone.

My brother treated us to brunch at Scramblers which was delicious!

After brunch and some cleaning, my in-laws stopped by and I went to Sam’s Club with my mother-in-law.

When they left, I ran to target while my husband worked on some house projects. Next up is the nursery!

We made an apple bake which was super tasty!

For dinner, I had a salad with chicken!

Bed time came early!

It was a lovely weekend! I hope yours was, too!!

Fit Friday And A Halfway Pregnancy Update

Oh, ohhhh, we’re halfway there….

Guys. Yesterday marked 20 weeks of my pregnancy, and halfway to meeting our baby girl. The excitement I feel is unbelievable.

Here’s how things are going:

BELLY/WEIGHT GAIN:

Week 4 to last weekend…

The belly is popping more each week! I’ve gained 11ish-12 pounds and can feel my belly and abs stretching. What a cool, weird experience!

ACHES AND PAINS:

These have hit me hard this week. My back is tighter (thank goodness for wonderful insurance that covers chiropractic care). I have been getting cramps in my calves and legs like crazy.

STRUGGLES:

1) Sleeping! I am beginning to get uncomfortable, so I toss and turn for a while.

2) The need to pee ALL. THE. TIME.

3) Anxiety. I keep thinking of all that we need to do before she gets here and it is making me stress too much.

CRAVINGS:

Peanut butter cups. Or any chocolate with peanut butter for that matter! Haha.

THE BEST THINGS:

1) I am starting to feel her move more and it is amazing.

2) The love I feel for my husband when he talks about her or talks to my belly. How lucky am I?

3) My cats snuggling on my belly. It is too sweet!

4) Just getting closer to meeting our sweet pea!

Now….let’s move on to some food and fitness this week….

MONDAY:

The day started with an upper body workout class at the gym. It feels great to start the week off right!

For dinner we made pizza and had salad kit with it!

TUESDAY:

I went for a jog after work. The weather was awesome, but the pressure on my bladder was annoying!

Dinner was taco salad with fried plantains!

I made a healthier apple cake for dessert. It was gone in a day and a half haha!

WEDNESDAY:

I did a short barre workout, followed by a yoga video at home before heading to work.

After work, I had dinner with my mom and close friend at Chuys. My food was much unhealthier than usual and left me feeling a little crappy. It sure tasted good though!

A fried avacado stuffed with chicken and cheese, beans, and rice.

THURSDAY:

After work, I went to the gym for a cardio workout. I did a 15 minute jog/walk and 15 minutes on the arc trainer.

Dinner was a sweet potato, salad, and an almond butter granola cup! A much needed healthy meal after the night before.

FRIDAY:

The morning started with an upper body workout video, plus a little cardio.

Tonight, we plan on making dinner and renting a movie! My family is coming into town tomorrow.

A Fall And Family Filled Weekend

Hello, all!! I hope you had as good of a weekend as we did. I love fall SO much and we had our first real taste this weekend.

Between decorating, apple cider, my favorite annual date, and family time, I’d say it was a great weekend.

Let’s recap!

SATURDAY:

I woke up at 6, had some coffee and did a 30 minute pure barre workout before teaching four online classes.

After teaching, I met my best friend (who came to town for a birthday celebration) at Starbucks. I had my first pumpkin spice latte this year and it was as tasty as I remembered. I get mine with soy milk! So much yum. It was a chilly morning which I love.

Afterwards, I had a hair appointment at the cutest salon. I enjoyed a much needed wash, cut, and style.

I picked up Jersey Mikes on the way home for me and my husband.

After lunch, we headed to Lynd Fruit Farm for our annual apple picking and farmer’s market date. We got tons of delicious apples and other goodies, too!

When we got home, we put on pj’s, made some chili and watched football!

It was a perfect day and evening.

SUNDAY:

I slept in a bit which felt amazing! I made a pot of coffee and relaxed a little while before doing my fall decorating and cleaning the house.

After that, I went for a jog outside because the weather was awesome!

After my run, a quick shower, and lunch, we headed to Alum Creek Beach (about half hour from our place) to spend the day with my husband’s family and celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday! The weather got pretty darn warm and we enjoyed the beach and water so much.

When everyone got hungry for dinner we headed to Cracker Barrel. It was delicious!

We all said our goodbyes and headed home.

Now we are relaxing with a candle and some fresh apple cider. Yay! I don’t want the weekend to end.
