Hello, everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was busy, but so nice!
Let’s recap:
FRIDAY NIGHT:
For dinner, we had crab cakes. They were so good! I had a salad with mine.
After we ate, we rented Knives Out. I had been wanting to see it for so long! We enjoyed it!
My brother-in-law officially started staying with us this night as well, so now we have him and my sister-in-law. It is a little packed in our house right now! Lol!
SATURDAY:
I got up first (as always), made some coffee, and got the baby up. Once everyone was up, we hung out and talked.
My sister-in-law and I went to the gym for upper body rx and it was extra challenging! I’m pretty sure both of us are super sore.
My mom came in town mid-day and we did some shopping. She is wonderful and got us some groceries! That evening, she stayed with baby K so that my husband and I could have a double date with some friends.
We met our friends for an early dinner at BD’s Mongolian BBQ. This was my first time there and it was so good! I love stir fry, and making my own and watching them cook was so fun!
We enjoyed catching up!
After dinner, we headed to the movies to see The Invisible Man. It was SO GOOD. It was super intense, and I was hooked the whole time.
We headed home after the movies, but I didn’t sleep well and had nightmares.
SUNDAY:
I was up first again, made coffee, and got the baby up. We all hung out for a while, chatting and listening to music. Baby K played us her xylophone lol! It was adorable.
Once she went down for a nap, my mom and I went to the gym. I did a hiit treadmill workout.
Afterwards, I got myself and the baby ready to head to my hometown for the night. Before we left, she got to ride in her car because the weather was amazing!
First stop in my hometown was my grandma’s house! She will be 97 this week. She is awesome! The baby was a little fussy there, but still was waving to mamaw and played with the toy she got her.
Next up was my best friend’s house for the night! Kennedy loves seeing her kids and was so excited. We had dinner and played with the kids before K got pretty tired. Once all the kids were down, my best friend and I chatted and watched TV. We went to bed early and I read a while.
We headed home this afternoon.
We had a great weekend! I have a lot of cleaning to catch up on.
That’s all for today. Have a wonderful week! With love,
Carly
Happy 97th birthday to your grandma! That is amazing!!
We saw Knives Out and totally loved it!! It was a really good mystery!

Thank you!! She is pretty amazing! She even drives still.
We sure thought so, too! I had heard mixed reviews, but I’m so glad we rented it!

What a lovely week! Those crab cakes look awesome & the Mongolian stir-fry looks so tasty, too. I love those kind of restaurants! & a double date sounds like a blast! Even seeing the trailers to Invisible Man gave me nightmares– it does look super intense. Glad you enjoyed it though! & that’s way too cute about baby K playing the xylophone & the photo of her in that car. ❤ ❤

The restaurant was so fun and layed back! Haha I definitely jumped more than once, but it was so worth it. Thank you!! She loves her car. It even has a little horn she can push! 🤣
