Our Date Night, Family Time, Food, And Fitness

Hey guys!! My posts are pretty sporadic these days, as I am still navigating motherhood. I will say that we have gotten into a routine, and I am more confident in being a mommy. Our little one went to the dr yesterday and is now 8 pounds, 9 ounces. She is a little chunk and so stinking precious!

We got our newborn pictures back yesterday and I’m obsessed with them, but can’t believe our girl is so much bigger already!

That is her on my wedding dress.

And her now….

I’m so blessed.

Now, onto the weekend….

FRIDAY:

My in-laws came over around 7pm and my husband and I headed out for a date. We went to dinner at Northstar Cafe and it was delicious as always.

After dinner, we had to go to the car so I could pump (yay mom life Haha) and also took a nap before our movie. LOL! We saw Captain Marvel at 10 (SUPER late for this mamma)! We enjoyed our night so much, but the little one didn’t sleep well that night.

SATURDAY:

The little one woke up early, so my mother-in-law held her while I went to Starbucks and did the elliptical for 30 minutes! I’m so glad that I am healed and can work harder on the cardio machines.

My husband spent the day working on his dad’s truck, and his dad and brother worked on our railing. I played with my girl all day!

My brother in law cooked us a tasty dinner and we ate then watched Bohemian Rhapsody. It was such a good movie by the way!!

SUNDAY:

We had a busy day full of visitors on Sunday! My college roommate (who also happens to be my husband’s cousin) came over with her girls and it was fun for them to meet Kennedy!.

Freshman year of college and now with our kids. Oh how life has changed!

We also had my husband’s aunt and some friends over. The house got crazy!!

I spent Kennedy’s Monday nap time cleaning from the weekend.

That’s all for today! Have a great week!

With love,

Carly

  1. So lovely to catch up on your blog, it sounds like you are balancing motherhood just fine and Kennedy gets cuter every day 😊 Well done for still finding time for you two as Well. It’s so hard to end up doing nothing as a couple and just being tired with each other.

  2. Your daughter is so precious! She reminds me of my daughter at that age. I miss that stage already. I love your posts and have started trying out some of your recipes. 10 months post c-section and I am tired of having a baby belly still. Breastfeeding is not doing the trick for me. Thank you for sharing your story. PS Captain Marvel is a 10! Got to see it Saturday morning to ensure I wouldn’t fall asleep.
