Fit Friday-All Things Food And Fitness, Plus Another Life Update

Hello and happy Friday, everyone! I am officially on summer break! Yay!! It was a long year and I am so ready for some time off. I will still be teaching online, by I can wear sweat pants while I do that. Haha.

How was your week? Do you have any fun summer plans? We have a lot of fun things coming up and I’m so excited!

Moving on, let’s talk food, fitness, and fertility…

TUESDAY:

I taught a couple classes before work so I worked out after.

I did a 3 mile treadmill workout (mixing in walking, sprinting, and jogging). Quick and sweaty!

Dinner was steak and terriaki veggies over rice. It was so good! My husband made the steak in our cast iron skillet and it tasted great.

I was so tired and fell asleep early.

WEDNESDAY:

The day started with only one online teaching class which was nice.

I only worked a half day because I had an ultrasound. My doctor said everything looked good on me, so I had a trigger shot and made an appointment for insemination the next morning.

After my appointment, I went to the library, then to the gym for a short back and ab workout.

I made whole wheat pasta and toast for dinner. Yum!

After dinner, I watched the premiere of Master Chef.

THURSDAY:

I woke up and taught 2 online classes before heading to the fertility clinic. I was a bundle of nerves. When I arrived, they took me to my room and the doctor explained the insemination. It was uncomfortable, but quick. I had to lay there for a few minutes before leaving.

I headed to work for the kids last day!! Whooooo!!

After work, I came straight home and sat on my couch. I was cramping all day and it felt good to take the evening to relax.

My couch buddy haha!

My husband and I picked up Whole Foods for dinner.

I was worn out and fell asleep by 9.

FRIDAY:

I took the day off of work because we finished packing up the classroom yesterday. I slept in, drank coffee, and took a barbell strength class at my gym. I took it super easy since I don’t want to push my body too hard right now.

After my workout, my mom came to spend the day with me. We met one of my friends at a place called Cantina Laredo. I had avacado chicken tacos! SO GOOD.

We stayed over 2 hours just talking.

After lunch, my mom and I went to the outlet malls and did some shopping. It was so much fun!

Now I am off to start dinner! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Oh Carly, I hope the best for you & the insemination! ā™” I wish I could eat every single one of these meals…mmmm. They all look so yummy, I can’t choose a fave haha.
