A Family Filled Weekend

Well, another weekend has flown by and it’s back to work for me tomorrow. 38 days until summer break, but who’s counting? Haha!

We spent the weekend in Tiffin, Ohio to visit my husband’s family and had a great time. We just got a call (as we were heading home) that my husband left his phone so we had to turn around. It’s going to be a late night for us!

Anyway, let’s recap, shall we?

FRIDAY NIGHT:

I made a quick dinner for myself since my husband wasn’t hungry. I made a chicken melt, rice, and a pickle.

We watched some TV and relaxed until bed.

SATURDAY:

I woke up, made a pot of coffee, and ate breakfast before heading to the gym for a 3 mile run on the treadmill. Quick and sweaty!

When I got home, I showered and got ready. We had lunch before heading to my husband’s hometown. I had an empanada, chips, and a few pickles. Yum!!

When we got to my in-laws we all talked a while and my brother-in-law made us dinner. Steak, chicken, and veggies. I put mine on a huge salad! Yum!!

After dinner, we went to my husband’s cousin (who just so happens to be my college roommate) and spent time with her, her husband, and their two little girls.

After our visit we all went bowling! I’m terrible, but we had fun!! After bowling, we were talked into going to a whiskey bar for a drink. I had a Moscow mule, but didn’t like it very much. At least we were in good company!

We got back late so we went straight to bed. I couldn’t sleep so I read for a while.

SUNDAY:

We woke up and had some coffee before starting the day. My husband had a couple cars to fix for his family so he was busy with that! I spent most of the day with my mother-in-law and brother-in-law. I seriously love my in-laws so much! My brother-in-law made us a beautiful wine rack! He is so talented.

He also made a gorgeous coffee table with two of his buddies. I told him I want the same look as a kitchen table! Maybe he will take that project on for us someday.

We met up with my husband, father-in-law, and other brother-in-law and took the pups to the dog park.

The pups….

After they got some energy out, we came back to the house and had dinner.

A huge salad for me! I put chicken on it, too.

After dinner, my brother-in-law cut my husband’s hair because it was way too long! Now, we are heading home to our kitties!! I can’t wait to see them!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Did you do anything fun?

Have a great week!

With love,

Carly
