Weekend Wrap-Up-Food, Fitness, Family, And Our Newport Aquarium Visit

Hello, all! Another weekend is coming to an end way too quickly. Mine was busy, but so nice! Here’s what I got up to…

My commute home was a mess due to the crazy amount of rain we got. Waze took me through some shady areas, so when I got home I was relieved.

Anyway, our evening was pretty relaxing. We got Chipotle for dinner and ate it at home while we caught up on our shows.

We went to bed fairly early because I had to get up and drive the next day.

My husband had plans that day, so I decided to go to Cincinnati to visit my family. It’s about a two hour drive and I had a jam packed day planned, so I left early.

My first stop was at a place called Le Peep for breakfast with my mom, brother, his wife, and my sweet niece.

I had the breakfast banana split and it was so tasty!

We had a great time catching up.

After breakfast, my oldest brother dropped his 3 kids off to my mom and I while he went to work. That afternoon, we all went to the Newport Aquarium. It was packed, but we had so much fun!

After the aquarium, we stopped at Jungle Jims (a huge international market) for samples and some shopping.

By the time we got back, we were exhausted. Dinner was a quick one at Jimmy John’s before the kids went home with my brother.

The rest of the evening was spent watching reruns of Full House until I went to bed.

My mom and I both woke up early, so we headed to Starbucks for coffee. We watched a little T.V. then went over to the gym at her apartment. I did a 30 minute treadmill/cardio workout.

After our workout and a shower, I gave my pup a kiss before driving home.

I was exhausted after my drive so after a quick lunch, I took a nap.

I finally got the energy to grocery shop since we had little to eat at the house. When I got home, I spent a while cleaning and folding laundry. I did a quick yoga video before my husband and I made dinner together.

Chicken sausage, parmesan asparagus, and melon.

Now we are watching The Bachelor (my guilty pleasure) before bed.

I hope you all had a great weekend, too!

With love,
