Treadmill/weights curcuit workout

Hi everyone! I hope your Tuesday is going as well as any Tuesday could go. My husband and I just got home from a short get-away in Cleveland to see our annual Cavs game.


Let me tell you, we ate like crap last night. We enjoyed tacos and margaritas before the game, then once we got to the game I had to have the biggest size of peanuts they had. I knew this morning I needed to get a workout in to sweat out some of the food and alcohol from last night. Luckily, the hotel we stayed at had a pretty nice workout room.


I love when the weights are directly next to the treadmills. It makes it SO much easier to do this quick, but sweaty circuit workout.

The workout:

  • 5-10 minute jog ( I went until I hit a mile)

The circuit:

  • 1 minute jog
  • 1 minute sprint
  • 1 minute walk
  • 1 minute upper body work (off of the treadmill with weights)
  • 1 minute lower body work (off of the treadmill with weights)

Repeat the circuit 5 times, then do about a 5 minute cool down plus stretch.

Some example upper body exercises include: Curl press, push press, chest press (on floor or bench), push ups on weights, back rows, upright rows, etc.

Some example lower body exercises include: Squats, calf raises, lunges, lunge jumps, squat pulses, etc.

The best thing about this workout is the fact that you can get creative and have some fun with it!

After my workout and shower, we had the continental breakfast they offered, then walked to a cute coffee shop I had never been to! I had to step out of my comfort zone to switch it up from going to Starbucks. We ended our trip by driving to a Metropark to walk around and enjoy the water.


Now that we are home it is time to catch up on house work. I hope you guys try the treadmill/weights circuit and enjoy getting super sweaty!
